A Clockwork Orange

The fact that Burgess invented a whole language for this book is mind boggling,and the way "Your Humble Narrator" Alex describes things makes this storya pleasure to read over and over. They story is a classic warning abouthow bad things can get politically and socially, if we don't watch out.One of my favorite books in the English language, don't just think you know thestory because you saw Kubrik's masterpiece--you need to read the original.

I wanted the pictured edition because of the glossary in the back. I wanted to give it to someone and the glossary is helpful for those making headway into the largely Russian-based teen slang.

came quick and exactly as described!

Very good book, may be difficult to read for some. There's a glossary in the back of the book for translating a lot of the non-English words in this book but it's easy to pick up on after 30-40 pages. Would recommend whether you've seen the movie or not.

It came in slightly more worn condition than advertised, but I am happy with the product. I wanted this version because I like the cover more than the most recent edition.

Love the fact it is the original print! In very awesome condition and shows it's age in some discoloration of 30+ years but a wonderful classic must have collectors books.

Good used shape. I was looking specifically for the 'Americanized' version, which is missing the last chapter. This book is exactly as advertised, and I'm glad to own this classic
