I've put together other mni DIY kits, but this is my first Robotime kit. The quality is superior to the other kits I've put together on every level. English instructions, thicker wood materials, wooden parts of furniture cleanly perforated by laser. I'm excited by the impressive wood looking laminate for the cabinets. There appears to be a bit more cloth for those projects (other kits can be very skimpy on supplied materials) that require it. Paper for the floor has a more convincing look. I especially like the better quality of anything printed; with softer matte finishes rather than everything having a glossy look. I work hard on my kits; I don't just slap them together. I feel that this company understands that. Btw, these kits are much more for grownups than children since they are delicate and very involved. The only thing extra I want (and for all I know, they make them) is a dust cover.

Clever, creative project for very motivated people. Very good buy for the low cost. Quality is great. Ships fast. Not ideal for
Awesome, clever, creative project for very motivated people. The instructions are included but you need patience and must follow the sample pictures and you will be amazed at how things work out. you can obtain the same exact results as in the picture, if you are the perfectionist kind. You can achive good results if you skip certain steps, but you don't have to. Very good buy for the low cost. Quality is great. You can even modify the look of the house by using your own wallpapers/adding mirrors, etc - I am building A PARTY HOUSE, so I am substituting some decor and it is turning out much better than I had hoped for. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. Great seller. Ships fast. Not ideal for people who get frustrated quickly.

Soho Time is very cool ! But a couple of parts are frustrating to assemble.
So here's the deal on the four star rating:- We LOVE the design details and excellent quality of most of the elements.- But the written instructions (in English) were sometimes unclear, with images much too small to be easily understood. However, if you're not too literal with the text, you can ultimately figure it out.- Our main disappointment was the design for constructing the desk and small chair - a REAL pain! There is NO easy way to attach the legs to the bottom of either piece. The wire so soft and bendable that it's extremely difficult to maintain the proper shapes while assembling all the parts, let alone attach them to the bottom of the desk and chair! (We had to "jerry-rig" with extra bits we had on hand to make this work.) We used the glue provided, which has good adhesion but does NOT dry quickly, so you have to hold the parts together till it's stable enough to release (very carefully!).We decided to supplement that glue with Scotch Tacky Glue which dries fast, and lent some stability during the drying process which can take hours. (That Scotch glue is the best for assembling all the paper and cardboard elements. It's white but dries clear. Also be aware that the clear glue that's provided tends to create messy "strings". But they're easy to clean off once dry.)- All in all it was a (mostly) very fun challenge, so we'll be getting another model soon to tackle!UPDATE: We made the mistake of then getting the Romantic Nordic Cottage kit from TORCH-CN, which has great style and components (wood rather than bendy wire legs) but TERRIBLE instructions with tiny/dim images, no text, missing steps, and 15 missing parts! More annoying than fun.

You need patience and a lot more tools than what are provided to create this. I love the challenge though and you have some options for customization. They are very fun to put together. I would not suggest this craft for real young children. There is a lot of hand-eye coordination and tiny, TINY work involved. Patience is key with these types of kits, but if you are into model planes, or like me-Gundam kits- you will probably like this challenging craft. No joke on the tiny aspect. Also, measure 2, 3, 18 times THEN cut. Otherwise you are left to improvise some items (like I had to do for the table where I messed up the legs so I took thick Popsicle sticks and made legs).

Keeps my girlfriend busy
She wanted to find a new hobby. She found this and wanted to try it.It keeps her busy.I can do my own things while she's doing this miniature set.Overall, she said that it's really fun and cute. Although some stuff are really hard to build, so challenging enough, at least.I don't know exactly whether all the tools are provided. I know for a fact she uses some other things that did not come with this product.

Black wire component cheap and flimsy, frustrating to work with.
I have constructed miniatures before, but never from this brand. This set looked very nice, instructions seemed very clear, however, one component was so cheap and flimsy that it just ruined the set for me. It is a length of black nylon-coated wire needed for construction of nearly every piece of furniture in the Soho Time miniature office. The wire is so cheap and flimsy that it crimps and curls and will not lay flat when glued. The result was not pretty. My desk legs looked terrible, required a ton of glue, and never fully dried. I returned the item. Because this wire is on everything, I was not willing to deal with it in order to construct the rest of the set. Perhaps I could have gone to a crafts store and looked for better wire, but again, it’s a lot of wire.

Not for beginners
Ok. I am a very crafty person. I love drawing, cross stitching, I enjoyed working with beads when I was a kid ... So I figured that it would be fun to assemble this adorable miniature. I NEVER did ANY miniatures. And I should tell you that this kit is NOT for beginners. I am just laughing out loud at this crooked desk that I made ( I spent about 3 hours on it) lmao I hope that by the end of the project something OK will come out and I don't have to throw it in the garbage hahahAnyways, I liked the box, materials are not bad, instructions are great! I wish I just researched better and bought something easier to assemble.
