5 Years Review
I was recommended this purple and blue shampoo by my hair stylist 5 years ago and it has been my go to treatment to tone when I go blonde. The first few times I used this, it was trial and error. Consider yourself warned, this shampoo is intense and very VERY pigmented. You do not want to leave this on your hair longer than you would normally shampoo for toning purposes. If you leave this longer than you normally shampoo, your hair will be stained. It will come out eventually in a few washes. Your tub and tiles will be stained but will eventually come off. Definitely would recommend for toning purposes in between touch ups. This does not replace a toner however it's the best purple and blue shampoo I have used. Coming from a gal who has bleached their hair one too many times.

Surprised it works.
This is the first review I ever wrote! I figured I would do it to help other people out because I’m a kind of person who always looks at 3748292847 million reviews when but something. So I have seen other people but this and it is damaged when it comes in the mail. I have not used it yet. I’m going to upload pictures a before and after to show you guys what one use looks like !! I have dark brown hair now ! Im trying to do a balayage. Right now my hair is in the stage where it is yellow with just a little brass so I figured why not get these two shampoos and maybe mix it together and let it set in my hair. These pictures are a before and after. The one of me taking a picture in the mirror is before and the side view is after. This is after one use only. Left of hair for 2 mins next time will leave on hair for 5 mins. On the bottle it says leave on for 1-5 mins! So I didn’t wanna leave it on too long because I never used it before. I used gloves but I don’t think it will stain your hands if you wash right away. Since they work together very well if you just get one or the other it will work for your hair if you have yellow hair or brassy hair. I was surprised how it took MOST of the yellow out !! With sitting in my hair only for two mins!! I will leave my name at the end of this so you can look at for when I do use it again. I’m reallt not sure how many times you can use this. I was told you are supposed to use this shampoo twice a week. My friend said she uses it every other day and her hair is white blonde !! It don’t smell too bad either. But if your like me and in the process of coloring your hair to help keep moisture in your hair I would use “ it’s a ten mask “ as conditioner. That stuff WORKS ! Love it. It’s expensive but I will pay for it. Helps with everything !!-lindsay

Amazing treatment for highlighted brown hair (No Yellow)
Naturally medium brown hair. I recently got partial highlights and they were way too yellow-orange-brassy for me. Previously, I had a face frame with ash and requested the same ashiness for the partial but yuck. I was so disappointed. I used several brands of shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in hair protectant that were either blue or purple. The effects were modest at best and lasted only two or three days. Watched a video on Fanola that showed how these changed "strands" of hair in various combinations of the products (wet, dry, no yellow, no orange, etc). I wish I had taken before and after pictures of the highlights! The No-Yellow worked like a dream. First I tried only 2 minutes and change was subtle. A few days later I went with 5 minutes and the results were spectacular - straight to a nice ash with no purple tones at all. I maintained this by using at least once per week, sometimes twice. I have also used the No-Orange and the results on the highlighted areas are much more subtle so I guess I truly had the yellow tones - I could not really tell I just knew they were way to warm.Only complaint: the No-Yellow builds up some pressure in the bottle. When the package arrived, the 2 bottles were shrink-wrapped and the yellow had leaked a bit. It was easy to clean up but had to be careful not to get that super dark purple on anything. Then, I noticed that if I leave the No-Yellow completely closed, it leaks - the shampoo seeps out in little bubbles from the top of the cap (where you pour the shampoo out) and run down the side. I ever so slightly loosed the cap and also I leave the top of the cap (pops up to pour the shampoo out) slightly open. No more issues. This did not happen with the No-Orange.I really like the scent of it, too. I would not say that it is drying, but I definitely would not call it "moisturizing". Overall though, 5 stars. These will last forever but I will buy again if needed!

Recommend by my hairy stylist
Last year when I got my hair bleached silver I asked my stylist for maintenance tips and she recommended this product so I ordered the purple shampoo and it worked so well. Some of my hair where the bleached parts faded into my natural hair began to turn a brassy color so I got the blue shampoo and again it cut out most of the tones I didn’t want. I only wash my hair twice a week but each time I wash it and I go out my coworkers that I saw sometimes just yesterday or even my friends ask if I changed my hair or got it dyed again. I haven’t had it re bleached since October of 2021 and it’s still silver and I love it!But I also know this product can be a little tricky to use so I have some tips that might hopefully help. When I use it I don’t use gloves but I know it does stain your hands. The blue stains less for some reason but the purple omg. I wash my hair first and I massage then let sit only on my bleached parts (not on my natural hair) between 5-10 min depending on how much toning I want. I try to avoid my hair to get wet during that time so that the pigment doesn’t just wash off, and I either tie it up, or use a shower cap. Now how I get it off my hands! I use a sugar exfoliating scrub and it takes it right off. But I have used a loofah and it worked just as well. Both these methods I didn’t have to use excess pressure to remove the pigment. Also It could stain the tub/shower if it dries. If it can’t be removed with just soap & water just use a little bleach or a Clorox wipe to remove it and comes right off.
