Electric Kettle

The media could not be loaded. For years I was an occasional tea drinker, mostly when I had a cold, content to nuke some water in the microwave. Lately, I have been drinking tea more regularly in an effort to cut down on my out-of-control coffee habit. My wife drinks tea regularly these days, too. I decided to purchase this kettle and upgrade my tea-making game.Although this electric kettle is much fancier and more precise than heating water in the microwave, I found it simple to use and operate from the start. There are buttons for exact temperatures to brew various types of tea, which are identified on the buttons. The kettle is quite powerful and brings the water up to the desired temperature very quickly. There is a feature to keep the water at the desired temperature for up to 30 minutes, in case someone wants a second cup. I've included a video with this review to demonstrate the device's operation.A couple of items of note in the video that could prove helpful:The cord is quite short when you first remove the kettle from the box. That works for many kitchens, but if yours is like mine - small, with a cluttered counter space - you might appreciate more length in the cord. If you turn the base over, you can unwrap some extra length on the cord which I found quite useful.You can use the Warm feature by hitting the button while the kettle is heating. But if you want to engage it after the desired temp is reached, you have to hit the desired temperature button, start, and then warm. It's the same if you take the kettle off the base to pour. It automatically turns off, so just hit the temp button, start, and then warm again once you replace the kettle if you want to keep the water warm.The kettle is easy to clean. You can't immerse it in water, but you just need to rinse it out after using, then leave the lid up to allow it to fully dry out.Both my wife and I enjoy using this kettle. Its large size makes it great for entertaining, too. It looks nice on the counter. It is simple and intuitive to use, and cleans up easily afterward. It's a nice product for anyone looking to upgrade their tea-making.

I purchased the 1.5L steel interior electric kettle and its a perfect addition to my kitchen. Its fast and has an auto shut off when water reaches a rolling boil. I use it several times a day. its so convenient. It is great for a cup of hot tea or coffee or just for plain boiling water you need for cooking in a hurry. It look nice on my counter and is very nicely made. I am very happy with my purchase and i highly recommend this product who is looking for a quick boil, well made kettle.

I was searching for a replacement electric kettle so I got on Amazon to find one. I found the PARIS RHONE Electric Kettle Temperature Control with 6 Presets 1.7L Electric Tea Kettle Water Boiler, 30 min keep warm, Cordless Borosilicate Glass Tea Kettle, Auto-Off & Boil-Dry Protection, BPA Free. This seemed like a nice electric kettle so I decided to purchase it. The kettle is attractive, looks nice on the kitchen counter. It has 6 settings which allows you to choose the proper temperature for various types of tea or coffee. One of the 6 settings is for boil. There are some cool blue lights that illuminate while the water is heating up. The kettle will beep 6 times when the water reaches the selected temperature. The water boils quickly, usually within 5 minutes. The kettle will shutoff after 30 minutes. If you desire to keep the water warm after it reaches the selected temperature, there is a "KEEP WARM" button you can select to keep the water at the selected temperature for 30 minutes. The kettle has Boil-Dry Protection. If the kettle is accidentally turned on without being filled with water or it is allowed to boil dry, it will automatically shut off. Nice feature. Overall, I would say the PARIS RHONE Electric Kettle is a very nice electric kettle. It does the job well and quickly. I would highly recommend this kettle to anyone looking for a nice Electric Kettle.

The media could not be loaded. I like the large capacity so I can make a pitcher of tea, the handle helps support and balance the weight when full, it heats quickly and retains the heat well. I do like that there are multiple temp settings and that they are in the handle, but the temp settings do not light up only an indicator light next to it, which makes it hard to read the temp setting. Also, you can select the temp but until you have to push the start button for it to actually start, so helpful to push the start button first (my previous one, I just clicked the desired temp button and it started, so I had to get used to it). The lid does not open all the way either, which is fine if you use a faucet or tap, but a little awkward when filling from a jug.Overall it does what I purchased it for and I am happy with it. The temp settings and lid opening are fairly minor and I do prefer the temp settings on the handle instead of the base like my previous one and the handle provides great balance.

We have a gas stove, which while great for stir-fry and standard cooking is absolutely terrible for boiling water. Bringing water to a boil for cooking pasta can take an agonizingly long time heat up, probably 20-30 min before the pasta can even be cooked. Enter this kettle. With a 1.7L capacity, it is enough to get things started and will boil water to a rapid boil in 8 minutes. While we don't use it much for tea, it is certainly fast enough to make it on a whim if ever required.The lid flips up easily to fill with water and snaps closed securely. The wooden handle design is a nice design choice and the safety switch below it activates easily to turn on and off. The baseplate stores the power cord easily when not in use and is very unobtrusive. The kettle itself is small enough to sit out on the counter without taking too much space and the green color is a nice accent color from the stainless steel appliances we have elsewhere.We love having an electric kettle now and don't know how we cooked without it before. Definitely a time saver in the kitchen and with no moving parts I expect it to last a very long time.

It keeps the coffee hot for a long time. but first must fill with boiling water and let sit for awhile.

Used it for a couple of months now, really great kettle that gets the job done fast!

I bought this kettle to replace an older similar model. About 3 months in, the 'boil' setting stopped working properly, heating only to around 80C unless I cycled through all the other options. The vendor followed up my complaint and refunded me, which was much appreciated.

This kettle is great, my husband says it is better than our old one and loves that it has a keep warm function. It boils the water very quickly and is so easy to use. We love this kettle, it is a great product
