THE CLASSIC 2004 ALBUM OF DARKNESS & BRUTALITY FROM THE POLISH DEATH METAL TITANS - NOW ON MID-PRICE CD Behemoth was born in Poland in 1991, formed by band mastermind, Nergal. The evolution of Behemoth grew out of early demos and studio recordings with strong black metal roots and atmospherics, into brutal extreme metal. They stamped their own identity on the metal world with the compositions becoming more fierce than cold, and with a great maturity in songwriting and execution becoming clearly evident with each passing early release. 'Demigod' was Behemoth's seventh album and was originally released in 2004 to great acclaim. This helped further propel the band to the forefront of the extreme metal genre with some savage riffs, technical mastery, combined with lyrical themes exploring occultism and mythology. 'Demigod' was recorded at Hendrix Studios, Poland, then moving to Dug Out Studios in Sweden for the mixing process. The album also features a guest appearance by Karl Sanders of US death gods, Nile. This mid-price CD edition of 'Demigod' is presented in a jewel case packaging complete with a 16-page booklet and an OBI card. Behemoth are currently recording new material and will be headlining a selection of European festivals including a performance at Wacken 2018.

Brutal, yet concise
This is a great death metal record, with some stand-out tracks to listen to at the gym, or experience live if you're lucky enough. Great production for the genre, and amazing skill by all four members. Bundle Demigod with The Satanist and you have yourself a great introductory package into the music of Behemoth.Look out for underrated tracks: "XUL", "Sculpting the Throne ov Seth", and "Before the Aeons Came".

Ascoltare "Evangelion" o "The Satanist" senza aver ascoltato "Demigod" è come trovarsi a un km sott'acqua, con una bombola da sub sulle spalle, senza aver mai effettuato un'immersione prima...Con "Demigod" siamo ad una svolta risolutiva. Riassume tutta la precedente produzione fino a "The Apostasy", album con il quale condivide visceralità e sonorità, seppur scavalcandolo di un gradino per ciò che riguarda il sound mixing; contemporaneamente proietta la Band, ormai consapevole delle proprie potenzialità e del proprio status,verso il futuro.
