On Sri Chinmoy's Sunlit Path Paperback – November 1, 2015

Very nice book. I got the paperback version. Stories by disciples of a real spiritual Master written by themselves. From the variety of experiences told in the book one gets a feeling of how varied and comprehensive can be one's pursuit of his goal on a spiritual path. Also very inspiring for times when you haven't been doing so well in your practise - from the disciples' stories we can not only learn that we are not the only ones who ever had difficulties, but most importantly that any current uninspiring moments will eventually give way to an ever more fulfilling experience and times. I have been borrowing my copy of this book to friends and students.

Excelent and unique...100 different stories create a wonderful mosaic of a very inspiring life. So much authenticity in the tales across the age groups, the various times they spent with SrI Chinmoy and the ways the individuals were drawn from different cultures, countries etc. I had to mark some for especially coming back and referring to...seems best to be read in sections a few at a time...I was sorry I was getting to the end...but then enjoyed rereading a number...glad to have the helpful index by name at the back...most greatfull for those who contributed, edited and made this multi window view into a unique path accessible

Unusual and confident presentation of inner connection and workings between spiritual master and people around him in form stories, almost unbeliveble stories, but actualy real. First you feel: "No way! How could it be?" but then, once you give it a chance it is more like rading stories about exploring different lands. And you want to read another one.

There were interesting and inspiring stories.For me there were a few too many on "how I met..." and not enough about Sri Chinmoy's teachings to put the stories in context and give a non-disciple something to benefit their life. Still I enjoyed reading.

This is a really inspiring account of normal people deciding to venture on the spiritual path.

Insightful stories that give a good glimpse of the synchronicity that brings the teacher and student together!

I would like to see more stories about interaction with the Master.

It somehow encapsulates the vast diversity of Sri Chinmoy's activities, as well as the diversity of his students. It also illustrates the sacred bond between Guru and disciple, particularly in a modern context. Here people from various countries and backgrounds talk about their experiences with Sri Chinmoy while he was on earth, as well as describing how their spiritual lives have continued to flourish since his passing in 2007. The book is divided into 3 parts: Joining the Sri Chinmoy Centre, Experiences with Sri Chinmoy and Living as a Disciple of Sri Chinmoy. One thus gets a broad overview, but from the very personal viewpoints of many different writers. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to know more about the Sri Chinmoy Centre, or anyone interested in Eastern spirituality as applied to Western and modern life. A colourful, interesting read, full of contrast and variety.

Really excellent. Many stories from disciples of Sri Chinmoy give a real range of experiences and perspectives. An insight into following a spiritual path in the modern age.

Fascinating and inspiring insights into the paths of modern spiritual seekers in western countries

I found the stories very inspiring. Every spiritual seeker starts somewhere , and the stories in the book explain how the search for a spiritual life can begin anywhere. The stories also explain how seekers and spiritual adherents can make progress on a spiritual path under the guidance if a genuine spiritual Master. I thank the editors for putting together such a fine collection !
