Replaces the same but black model I had for about 4 years and which sadly died on me. I'm an awful technophobe this is easy to set up and use and the LED doesn't shine into your eyes all night.

Had to reorder a acctim alarm clock,old one only failed due to battery leakage into the unit.

This was ordered for me with good intentions but was not what I wanted so returned it and got a refund.

Nor a 24 hour display which is a disappointment , otherwise neat and good alarm

I wanted a simple to use bedroom clock for my elderly mother and this was the perfect item. The display is easy to read, has a background light for nightime and is easy to set. Not sure how long the battery will last but appears value for money.

these alarm clocks are great. simple to use. no noise when setting it, where others I have had have been noisy. ive been using one for years and still worked but buttons were worn out, so ordered another identical one. alarm sound is good. and the new one once you turn the light on it dims slow which is great and love the new feature.

This is a good value alarm clock. I got it as my previous clock broke when I dropped it, I'd had it about 20 years and it was an Acctim clock and I loved it. This one isn't as good as the old model. The light is far too bright for the middle of the night and finding the button on the top to get the light is more difficult. The old model I only needed to flick my finger on the top and the light came on and it was much dimmer. The buttons for setting the alarm were much easier on the old model too. I'm going to sound like my moaning old dad and say why do they have to try and 'improve' things and make a mess of it hahahaha but really the clock is excellent value for money but I felt the need to moan lol

The battery case at the back was difficult to open. The clock and alarm are set with a small switch on the top which has four positions very close together, so you have to be careful to put it on the right setting to set the alarm. The clock face has no illumination so you cannot see the time in the dark, but you can press a long pad on the top which is easy to find and it shoots out a strong beam of blue light, which should help you to see the time, but unfortunately for me just leaves me seeing a bright blue light before the eyes for the next 30 seconds and I still don't know what the time is. It does look nice though.
