NOT an Owner of a Xbox!
While back, a few years back, I bought this for an experiment using these heatsinks and a PC fan to customize my ADSL Router. My router constantly crashed and suddenly or just stopped working, or started to download very, very slowly.. so, with a friend of mine, we tried to install a PC fan (those small ones, that the power source of a PC uses) but still generated a lot of heat (considering it was ON 24/7)So these little things came along, so we gave it a try.. and BOY, here we are.. 2 years later, and since THAT day, my router NEVER stoped working (except when the power was down or I shut it down for thorough cleansing)I opened the router and searched for the chips that made all of the heat.. stick it to those (because it comes with a glue stripe underneath it), close the Router, make a hole for the air that the PC fan will blow inside the case, weld the wires to the matching poles of the energy source, try it and.. voilá! Cold working, 24/7, crash-free ADSL router..

Good Schtuff
I bought these little babies because I was so sick and tired of fixing my xbox after the RROD. I put these in and fired the system up and immediately felt them dissipating heat from the chips. They seem to work and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they continue to do so. Only gripe, minor, is that you have to trim one down to fit near the new GPU heatsink. Still, pretty nice product.

Installation is a breeze.
First off I dont have any of the equipment that would be required for testing these to make sure they are even cooling properly like they suggest. For the price though, It cant hurt if you still have a non-slim xbox 360 as heat is the biggest cause of the dreaded red rings of doom. They are very easy to install as they use a sticky heat transferring agent so all you have to do is peel the protective cover off and stick it on. If you warranty is still good I wouldnt recommend opening you xbox 360 up as it will void the warranty, but if you warranty is already up then I suggest doing everything you can to improve the airflow and heat distribution of the original 360s. One of the easiest ways to start with that is with these handy little heat sinks.I would suggest doing a quick bit of research to learn what model of xbox you have and where the RAM chips are located on it that these go on before you open it up just to get oriented first.

Do not buy!
These are more than likey a waste of time and money, they dont provide any cooling . RROD occures when there is hardeware faliure, this could be from a number things. First and foremost you need to have a good computer hardware skills to fix the 360 for a long last time, not these fake quick fixes that are out there will probabley end up missing up any chance of a long lasting fix if done more than a few times on your xbox. 360 that suffer from gpu or cpu faliure usually get reflowed and reballed if needed. To do this you need a $750-2500 machine and a soldering iron and a few other tools. This should not be attempted by noobs unless practicing on a bad 360 first a few times with the help from a trained professinal.[....] watch this to get an idea.

Nice, but not what they seem
I bought these as an upgrade when my Xbox360 RROD on me. After someone replied to my review, I did in fact see that I was putting them in the wrong location. Still did not help RROD.Not worth the purchase in my opinion.

Better option available.
These work okay, but for the same price you can get the pack that has two of these, two bigger heatsinks and cooling pads for the RAM. That one is a much better buy for the price.

Great Little Heat Sinks
Fits Perfectly in the XBox 360, no problems at all, and does a great job at helping keep the Ram and Chip sets cooler. I Didn't use them to fix the RRoD, just to prevent it. Easy Peel and Stick installation, absolutely recommended.BUYER BEWARE* - If you do have the newer model of the XBox 360 that has the additional heat displacer, you may need to trim one of these heat sinks back about 1/8 of an inch in order for it to fit, like mentioned in the product description. I have the heat displacer, but I didn't cut back the heat sink. I simply unscrewed the metal bar that connects from the GPU heat sink to the heat displacer, just enough so I could get it to fit. It isn't directly centered on the chip set, but it still gets the job done.

Learn, Dont listen to others that are new!!!!
Im experienced in fixing consoles since nintendo days, so with that in mind remember if you have a 360 that has the copper conductor dont trim down the heatsink thats just retarded, instead unscrew the conductor using the torx driver and force it slightly to move upwards and right just alittle to be able to place your case back on later. when you have moved the copper conducter just alittle you can then place the heatsink on the soldered memory chip and then your set, much easier. And the sticky pads that come with it are great, so if you manae to place them wrong it can easily be ripped off again without destroying the sticky pads. Worked perfect for me and makes the 360 look attle better also and keeps te chips cooler.
