Nice Grinder!
I must say that I was impressed with the grinder in the small amount of time I've been able to use it. Spending over a week in the hospital tends to put a damper on jobs around the house. Anyhow, my Makita batteries that I already have a lot of was not problem to put on the grinder. The grinder works as designed and I have more projects stacking up waiting for me to get to. As I complete more and get more time with the equipment, I will go back and change my review if necessary. I'm confident that I want have to with the small amount of time I've use it.

Nice Grinder, Interesting Concept, One Caveat
I really like this grinder. I tested it with a grinding disk, a flap disk, and a cutoff wheel. It performed well with all three disks. I did not perform an extremely long test, but I believe that the tool will give good battery life, due in part to the brushless motor. This type of motor also provides good power for its size and weight.I had never heard of the company Mellif that makes this grinder before I obtained this one. According to Mellif's website, they make tools that work with batteries from popular tool platforms, including Bosch, Makita, Milwaukee, and DeWalt. all 18 or 20 volt. Mellif does not sell batteries or chargers, just the tools. This is an interesting concept and works for me as I have several Makita 18-volt tools and batteries. In fact, I have a 4 /12 Makita cordless grinder already that I have had for several years. It does not have a brushless motor and I believe that this Millif grinder performs as well, if not better, that my Makita. Also, the Mellif has three speed settings (4000 rpm, 6000 rpm, and 8500 rpm) giving it a little more flexibility than my Makita, which only has one, One issue with this is that the button that toggles the speed setting is very small and I could not use it with work gloves on. But otherwise, it worked fine.According to the packaging, this grinder can handle a 5-inch disk. This is a relatively uncommon size; I have numerous disks for this type of grinder and they are all 4 /12 inch. This is the size that I tested and they worked fine. The disk guard has a nice feature that allows it to be secured to the tool with a small lever, negating the need for tools to attach it. However, like most people, you will probably take it off and never put it back on again. The flange and flange nut on this grinder will retain disks with an unthreaded 7/8 inch arbor hole. However, the spindle thread on this grinder is M14 instead of the more common 5/8"-11 size. This could be a limitation if what you want to attach only comes with a threaded abor hole this size, wire wheels for example. I am subtracting one star because of this.Despite this limitation, I found this tool to be useful and I expect to be using it a lot in my home shop.

Clearly made to a high standard.
This Mellif Brushless Cordless Angle Grinder from the FORDWALT Store on Amazon uses a Makita 18V Lithium-Ion battery (NOT Included), and it makes sense to buy this if your other battery operated tools use the same batteries. Cordless angle grinders do not have the 13,000 RPM speed of corded models, so if you've never used a cordless angle grinder you will have to adjust your expectations. With an 8,500 RPM speed, this 4-1/2 Inch angle grinder has a kickback brake, 3 speeds, lockable slide switch, and auxiliary handle. These clones are excellent quality, nothing about this tool feels cheap, and in situations where cordless matters, such as where a cord will present an electrical hazard (wet environment) or there's no available plug-in, a battery operated angle grinder will do the job, just not as aggressive or fast as a corded model. For an occasional use outside the shop, grabbing this grinder gets the job done. I like it!

So far so good
Up to this point I have only been able to test it out on a small little project. But it worked just like I would have expected it. The reason I was sold on this grinder is because I use a whole bunch of Makita tools and already have a bunch of their batteries. I have a corded grinder but thought the cordless would be nice to have and the fact that it uses the makita battery but is a fraction of the cost of the Makita it seemed like great deal. So far it works like it should. We will see with time how it holds up.

Good quality
Works great but have a few batteries and a multi charger available because under hard use the batteries go fast.

Fine-Tuning the Power
This battery-powered angle grinder has been an intriguing addition to my toolkit. It stands out with its high max speed, especially considering its power class. It's not in the league of a table saw, but for an angle grinder, it's quite robust. The arbor size is a unique feature, with a four-fifths ratio, adding a bit of uniqueness to this power too. While I haven't put it through extensive use yet (not everyone appreciates impromptu house modifications!), it's gearing up to be a key player in my guitar repair arsenal. The grinder's blade lock is reliable, and the torque it delivers is substantial. A vital piece of advice: watch your fingers around that spinning blade. Safety first! Now, here's a crucial point about this grinder – it's compatible with Makita batteries, specifically the 18V ones like the 1608B5. It's vital to get the right Makita battery; otherwise, you're left in the dark, quite literally. This compatibility is mentioned in the listing but could use more clarity. So, pay attention to the battery details to ensure you get the full potential out of this grinder.I would’ve given this only 3 stars solely because of the battery not being included along with no model number to find the correct battery. For anyone needing to know, the battery model number is: BL1850

Impressive
Wow... been so impressed with the latest import brands of tools. This brand stands out. IMO, a great move to make the tool compatible with big brand batteries... now if you are a Makita users, u have alternatives tools to buy. The quality is rock solid, on par with many big brands... not a cheap import here.. 3 speeds, anti kick back, strong motor, solid in the hand, and made to take some drops... at this price point, its a great value...time will tell how longevity stacks up, but for now, very impressed.... no flaws here, 5 stars
