I’ll start by saying I love the BOCOMAL brand so far. I ordered this for a job I’m on in Alaska it has a good feel to it and looks as advertised and has the same high standard of quality I’ve come to expect from the without breaking the bank it’s warm and the material doesn’t feel cheap haven’t had this beanie long I’ll update after the end of this hitch up here.

I am really relieved to have this Balaclava Flame Resistant 11oz Fleece Modacrylic Blend Winter Face Mask Hood when it is cold outside. It keeps my face and earns toasty warm. The only issue I had with it, is my glasses fog up while wearing both at the same time. I doubt there is much that can be done about that, but it would be nice if there was a solution.

I ordered the Bocomal Flame Resistant Winter Hat and Face Mask Combo for a family member who is an electrician. The hat fit him fine, but also fit me well and I have an unusually large head. The hat itself comes down on the sides to protect your ears and the face mask can be tucked up in the hat or pulled down as a neck gaiter when not in use. The hat is very lightweight, comfortable to wear and keeps your head and ears warm. The hat is made of flame resistant fleece, comprised of 60% modacrylic and 40% cotton. The hat has no stretch or give. The face mask is made of flame resistant rib-knit comprised of 60% modacrylic, 35% cotton and 5% anti-static fleece. The face mask has quite a bit of stretch and my family member and myself found it to be very comfortable.Per the Amazon ad, the Bocomal Flame Resistant Winter Hat and Face Mask Combo meets or exceeds the standards for HRC2 and the requirements of NFPA2112 Standard on Flame Resistant Garments. Not sure if my family member needed a hat with all of these standards, but since he works with electricity all day, I figured better safe than sorry. He loves the hat and the fact the face mask not only covers his nose and mouth, but part of his neck as well. I really like it too and may have to order one for myself, just because it is so darn comfortable and warm. I, too, really like the fact it protects the face and neck, as I have problems breathing in the cold air.Overall, Bocomal Flame Resistant Winter Hat and Face Mask Combo is well made, well thought out, machine washable, comfortable, and keeps your face, ears and neck warm, in addition to its fire resistant properties. Five stars.

In our cold winter wind, I tend to get headaches. I ordered this in the hope that it would keep my head and face warm and avoid headaches. So far, so good. With the label of balaclava, I expected this to be a knitted pullover hood with eye holes. But, instead, there is a fleece cap with adjustable ear coverings and a knitted mask (which is quite breathable). It is much more flexible than a traditional balaclava and I find it works great for my needs (walking, hiking, yard work). It keeps my head, ears, nose, and lower face warm in the wind and does not let the cold trigger a headache for me.It is marked flame-resistant. As I am using it for things that don't involve fire, I have not been able to test that out (and I hope that continues to be the case). But for someone working outdoors where fire is an option, this might be a great addition to their wardrobe. I am glad to have it in my winter collection!

I had to return, the material was very good quality. We thought that the mask part was detachable, it's not. That was the downside.
