Easy to use but stable stand for banjo
I wanted a lightweight & compact folding stand for my banjo. This one fills the bill. It's light but still is very stable and holds the instrument in place. The head rest is adjustable to hold any size head and fits my resonator banjo nicely. The neck rest has a clamp to securely hold the instrument in place so that it won't fall over if bumped (a little bit). It's properly padded to protect the instrument. I think it's a great value!

Best stand ever
Amazon sent me this email asking me to rate my purchase of this stand I’m a few beers deep so excuse the inevitable runon sentences....I love this stand. I was super drunk after a show and riding home with my buddy who’s just generally spacey (the bass player who booked the gig and keeps us in line but couldn’t make it due to the girlfriend flex flue and wasn’t there to like make everything flow like usual) and I thought he put my stand in the car but in reality we forgot my banjo stand, my guitar stand, and the tip jar. I got the tip jar back but there wasn’t any tips in it due to no one putting tips into it in the first place. Legit, let’s move on. The bar said that someone saw the stands on the front table but they were gone in the morning. Anyway I need a stand because we have a show in like 4 days and I order this one from Amazon. I really didn’t know much about it but it looked cool and like it would work and it was I think just about a little over $20 or something. I got it in like 2 days with Prime shipping. This thing fits into a little bag and is probably one of the most thought out pieces of banjo stand transformer engineering I’ve ever experienced. I love this stand and I’m constantly in awe of how it’s literally perfect in the means of beauty and perfection. You can’t take anything away from it and you can’t add anything to it. It transforms into the sturdiest stand I’ve owned and it’s made from extruded aluminum, powder coated, and polymer hard af plastic. I honestly tell everyone I think would care about something like this (banjo players and anyone I think is classy ) how sweet this stand is and then i demonstrate its transformation like a desperate window salesperson in the hopes they’ll see its beauty like I do. We play probably like 2-4x a week and this stand has been solid and I sometimes run the thought through my head about stockpiling them because I don’t ever want another stand, can’t get better for the price.

Great design, just about perfect for a heavy bluegrass banjo
Most banjo pickers have used guitar stands over the years, with the hope that at least the banjo won't fall off and hit the floor face first. Too often just that happens and if you're lucky all that will be dented is the banjo's pride. If you're unlucky the bridge might go right through the head, or the neck might come loose. Even though it's very lightweight the Peak stand is cleverly designed to handle the heaviest of banjos. It's almost like a robot to unfold and adjust, but the final product clearly will support the banjo and keep it from falling in any direction. I don't really need the case that comes with it, but some players might. I'd as soon see the case omitted and the price drop by a dollar or two to compensate. This is a very good product, the first stand truly made for banjos.
