I received the book on time, but it arrived with a very large sticker on the front of the book jacket which I do not believe was in the sell description.

I didn’t like this book because it has tendency is to be sexist and racist. The main character just was very flat and, I didn’t get past some of the situation is he put his sidekicks and himself into. What’s crazy is, this book started off very great and it just fell off after hitting 20%.

Marisha's writing was amazing and utterly real. Every single character, even characters met only briefly, seemed like a real person who might be wandering around New York. Her descriptions metaphors rang so true that you'd know exactly what she was trying to get across. I also kept forgetting that this novel was written by a woman because I truly was starting to believe Scott McGrath was a real person.The mystery was phenomenal. So. Many. Layers. I literally never knew where this book was going. I think I predicted maybe one or two tiny aspects and I was impressed that I even managed that. This book is seriously a roller coaster. Just when you think you're about to break the surface, everything gets flipped and you're just swimming deeper into the unknown. It's the sort of book that will leave you thinking about it for days, weeks, maybe forever.

If you enjoyed reading "The Girl on the Train" and "Gone Girl" you'll most likely enjoy "Night Film." The plot and unreliable narrations will keep you guessing all the way to the end. The book (though 599 pages) also moves quickly, lacking the long, boring conversations between characters like in "The Witch Elm."The book is also brings you deeper into the story with many exhibits to look at and review.Everyone has their own opinion and tastes, but if you like a mystery involving a girls presumed suicide, surrounded by witchcraft and the occult, read "Night Film."

The layout is so interesting and invites the reader to get in on the action. A wonderful interactive read!
