I'm surprised no one has reviewed this. I originally ordered this hoping it would be ok and it wasn't $20. This candle smelled nothing like I wished and that is a good thing in this case. I have a lot of different whiskey and bourbon type candles. Most are just a smell with a name. So this candle surprised me and is my new favorite. I frequent my local whiskey distiller quit a bit, even get to help them bottle. This candle smells exactly like a whiskey barrel to me. When I first opened it I wasn't ready for it but wow it is great. Anyways buy this for your man, it smells amazingly like a whiskey barrel. I will be ordering more.

Maryland Candle Company, Black Edition is definitely one of my favorite aroma therapy candles. I want to try all the Black Edition scent. The professional titles of some and the era titles gives the candle a Classy feel to the aroma. I would have it lit for a special event of social gathering or if important guests are visiting, but mostly I enjoy the use of it in a mediation session after a good workout session.

This candle is extremely small. Won't last a week. Leaves absolutely no scent in the air. Company spent more on the packaging of the product than the product itself. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!

This is a long-lasting candle, but the scent is not particularly memorable or enough to fill a medium-sized room.

Bought both the whiskey and the 1984, both are very good smelling candles! I like the design of the holder of them to give them an extra man feeling to them.

It is a very strong whiskey smell. If that is what you are looking for, this is your product. I was picturing a smoked whiskey scent when I purchased this candle. This is strong whiskey breath. If you are a OCD candle burner that has to burn the candle long enough for the candle wax to able to evenly dry when you blow it out, you should know when mine dried it looked like a desert floor.

Love the smell, but make sure the air is circulating unless you want your room to smell like a frat house.

Bought it as a gift for my folks. They loved it.
