Full recirculating blow off valve. The plumb back system recirculates all excess pressure back into the intake system. Great for enthusiasts not wanting to be noticed but wanting the performance and reliability benefits of a quality blow off valve. Suits Mazda speed (MPS) 3, 6, CX7, Subaru Legacy/Liberty GT, WRX MY08-current, Forester XT MY08-current.

Save your money, isn't meant for the legacy style motor setup.
I have a 2009 Subaru WRX, stock valve uses an O-ring style to seal up, this one uses a standard gasket. Definitely doesn't get a proper seal like the factory. The factory hoses don't hook up properly. The description says it'll fit properly for this, and it doesn't, but I have to pay shipping back? Pretty ridiculous I wasted time installing, now repackaging, and now I'm losing money. If you have a legacy style motor setup, save your money on this one. I'm actually reading that it doesn't fit on the STi motor either from reviews.

There are better choices out there
Bought it for my 09 WRX after reading decent reviews and for being one of the cheapest recirc valves that isn't obviously a piece. Well, this one is no winner. I replaced a Forge recirc thinking that it would be less sensitive and a little more quiet. I was right about both because it rarely actuated under non-WOT boosting and when you did, you could barely tell. Good for factory noise levels, I suppose.Bad news is you can easily hear the turbo fluttering with the pressure back-flowing against the vanes. I'm switching back to the Forge, and, unfortunately I can't send this back to Amazon so now I have an interesting paperweight....BTW - Yes I know you can get different springs, but for ~$23 a piece and not coming with them initially, I would recommending passing on this one and go for an adjustable unit or one with the pieces to adjust the pressure already in the box.

Doesnt fit a 09 sti hatch
got to this blow off valve off a link as It was on a list for the top 10 blow off valves and this being for subarus I jumped right at it , thought it would fit but only after arriving and seeing it wouldn't I went onto turbosmarts website and found the one for my model as these are not made for STIS . was great quality just unfortunately wasn't the one i needed so i will have to sell it myself as it isn't worth returning being in south Africa but i have ordered the right one and cant wait to fit it

Fixed my squeak/whistle when letting off gas.
Great stuff. Had the annoying whistle sound of my old BPV not closing fast enough when I let off the gas with conservative driving. I noticed it when I went stage 1 with the Cobb SF intake. I took the intake off and returned it to stock and still noticed the sound. So I decided to bite the bullet and buy this one hoping it wasn't going to rice out my WRX. Sounds just like stock with a shorter "CHHH" when I shift after WOT. Fits perfectly on a 2010 WRX Hatch, literally took me less than 5 minutes to install and completely fixed my issue. More responsive pedal now too, but only slightly.

I e mailed turbo smart again, and rather then offering to help me ...
Bought this a few months ago off Amazon to replace my factory BOV since I was increasing my boost. It worked ok for a while (so I thought) until I went to get tuned. My tuner told me he was having issues holding steady boost and he suspected my BOV was leaking by. I pressurized the system and sure enough the BOV was leaking. I contacted Turbosmart and talked to there customer service (Kristen I think?) and at first thought I would be taken care of with how fast they replied. However I soon realised that they were not going to help and and they just kept "beating around the bush" as the saying goes. I soon discovered that they offered a O ring rebuild kit for it, and asked them if they thought that may help my leaking. They told me its possible but did not offer to send me one, instead telling me to pay for it. After giving up all hope of them warrantying it, I decided I would try and rebuild it with the O ring kit they sell and just pay for it. I logged on the website and tried buying it, and it wanted $45 to ship it. I e mailed turbo smart again, and rather then offering to help me she told me the website must be messed up and to buy it from someone else, and suggested Rallysportdirect. I e mailed them and they are clueless as to what kit I am talking about, and when I sent them the link to it they said they don't carry it. Now im stuck with a 4 month old $155 leaking BOV.

This fits, looks, and sounds great with an AEM intake and FMIC on a '14 Wrx. This is just as loud as a BOV that vents to the atmosphere, but the advantage of a recirculating valve. If your car has a mass air sensor, you should have a recirculating valve.

Worth it!
Great upgrade for 08 to 14 WRX's. Easy install. Perfect fitment. No flutter or compressor surge experienced at all. Just the right amount of "whoosh" sound without actual venting to the atmosphere like BOV's. Shifts are more positive. Turbo spools quicker with less lag between shifts for better response. $35 cheaper than online parts warehouses and free shipping, cannot get a better deal.

Broken and missing parts.
This item came with an already opened box. It also came with no gasket like the ad said it would. I used my old gasket which was ok to use but when it was installed I noticed it would flutter which means it’s no good. I’d like to sort this out
