I needed a way to track electricity usage in an European environment which uses 220 volts. This works perfectly. I had to add an adapter to go from flat prongs to round prongs. Now I can measure cost, wattage, voltage, and kwhs. You have to give it the rate for your area.

I used it to run an analysis of electricity usage on my small 5th wheel travel trailer. I got 37 minutes into a test that never topped 1000 watts and it failed. The device did recover, smelling very burned, but the odd plug on the front now refuses to work without wiggling any electrical cord inserted into the shuttered holes. Pay more, get better quality.

After being online for three months drawing 800 watts. Surprised to see the plastic melting. Becareful FIRE hazard! Spend the money for something safe like a toroidal transformer sensor type, but it's a little hard to wire. I would check your unit if you have one even though it says "Power Measurement 3000W". Unless this device is just used for short term measurement use.

I bought two of them and they worked well.Unfortunately, one of them went bad after several months of intermittent use.
