SKS Velo 42 URBAN Fahrrad-Schutzblech (Set) // 28' (mit/ohne Streben)

Bought for my husband's bike. My husband has a Whyte Portobello, which is a hybrid - i.e. racing frame with flat MTB-style handlebars. The instruction, mainly in German but with some poor english translations are clear to follow. The package arrived on-time as advised. The mudguards are very light. it took my husband a few minutes to get his head around the instruction, but he was soon assembling them. The mudguards have enough adjustment to fit his bike. Once adjusted, the front mudguard required three screws to fit. the rear has three screws and an elastic band to hold the clip that goes on the seat down-tube. It took about 2 minutes to fit the pair. They have two ways in which they can pop off if a large object is caught on them, but don't know if that works and my husband refuses to ride into something! great product, great German engineering, great husband.

Quite a kerfuffle putting them on my bike. The instructions were more of a hinderance than a help. But actually shouldn’t take long if you know what you’re doing. Once fitted, they look smart and seem to do the job but not tested in wet conditions yet.

Hi,I must say that I was not sure about the size and if they will gonna fit well. But if you know how to mount them is very good/fast.I recomand to everybudy to take always right measurements and check others reviews.Pro:Good quality;Good looking;Easy to mount if you are at least good and know how to do it.Bad:From the handbook you don't understand almost nothing. For a novice it can be quite hard.I prefer Ikea style and I would like to have also the keys for mounting included, but the aren't.

I am hoping this review will help others if like me was struggling to get mudguards to fit my bike. I have a Gravel Pro 700c Tyres are 700 X 28, my problem was the narrow space on the front forks as in last photo.The SKS Velo 42 fitted ok but I had to buff down a bit on the front one because of the thickness was catching the tyre, took a couple of mm of the top it and fitted great.I did find the bolt for the front was too short for my bike.Also had to cut the rear one as in the third photo and fixed on with a tie wrap, this is not a problem as it's a short section and not load bearing. Great mudguards as the coverage is very good on both wheels, they are narrow though so would only be good for up to 35c tyres.They come with the stays which is great at this price, beware because a lot of adds show the stays as well but are not included. The stays are very good quality easy to fit as there is good adjust on them and essential to keep the guards from bouncing.These guards are great if you go out after heavy rain as I have done and no problem to through the puddles, perfect.

Firstly the positives: these mudguards are suitable for a whole range of bikes and once on look ok and look like they will do the job.Negatives: the instructions are horrendous...I found myself staring at the bag of fixings and not having a clue. After two hours and trip to b&q (the bolt for the front mudguard bracket wasn’t long enough) I eventually figured it out. The rear mudguard bracket could not be fitted as it didn’t align with the rear seat stay tube however it seemed sturdy enough with the clip on fitting and stay fitting. Definite gap in the market for a YouTube video .....!

Big bag of bits for fitting, so I had leftovers to put on the rack you can see in the picture. The mudguards seem to be very well made. I spent ten minutes working out how it all went together and the only issue I had was using the wrong bolt on the rear mudguard center stay, then finding I needed that one for the front forks. Doh. As someone else pointed out these are probably on the edge of useful for a 26 * 1.95 tire, but they look like they will do for me. i.e. keep the water off me. I'll update if they turn out to be useless!

The assembly instructions were clear ; and although a little fiddly to assemble ; once the brackets were cut to size they are a perfect fit .The easy removal is not as easy as I thought with the black lugs not separating as expected .However ; overall good value for money .

Parece bom e parece ser de alta qualidade. Cabe e funciona bem na minha bicicleta de cascalho de 9 velocidades. Foi fácil instalar.

Aaaallsooo. Passt nicht universell auf jedes Rennrad. Ich hab ein Trek Domane. Da musste ich beim Hinterradschutzblech die Sitzstangenhalterungsbefestigung (Klammer) abtrennen, statt dessen zwei löcher bohren und nen Kabelbinder verwenden. Sieht man nicht. Für mich total ok. Dauerte 2 min.Für das Vorderrad hab ich die Befestigung am Rahmen (der Winkel auf den das Schutzblech aufgeschoben wird) mit der Flex in der Höhe etwas gekürzt (schleift sonst bei der Lenkbewegung am Rahmen) danach fluppte es. Also die Erstbefestigung war bei mir (Trek Domane) etwas Tricki aber nach zwei kleinen Veränderungen top. Schönes Ding.Beschweren, auf keinen Fall. Für den Preis Never.Angepasst, hält, top. Wer zwei linke Hände hat und kein Werkzeug ist halt … . Wer anpassen kann hat schöne Schutzbleche. Für den Preis echt zufrieden

Sono tedeschi, quindi ottimi materiali e design. Vengono con un sacchetto di viti bulloni rondelle e attacchi vari in modo da poterli usare o adattare a ogni situazione. Tutto inox. Top
