I wish I had one years ago
Sometimes trying to sew a straight line can be challenging depending on your machine. Very sturdy and the magnetic function stays put. It works perfectly at keeping me sewing in a straight line.

It would have made a wonderful addition to my machine but it was far too large for my throat plate.

Very strong magnet.
This is a very strong magnet. Does the job. I don't use it often because not wild about the thought of magnet around the metal workings of my machine but it does help tremendously when you need a quick guide and you don't want to have tape stuck everywhere.

Magnet isn’t very strong
I’ve only tried to use this once, I’m going to assume that I was using it correctly, but as soon as I started sewing the magnet let it slip Which defeats the purpose

have not used it but have played with it and it seems to be exactly what is described.

Scary magnet
To much for me. I am not that kind of sewing queen. I want my home to be hand made. Nothing needs to be perfect, I am not. And this tool is not necessary, something simpler would have been fine. I just didn't return it. Besides I thought I saw the moon right outside my window last night, I forgot the magnet on my sewing table, scary.
