The best rust treatment preventer. Final colour depends on treatment technique.
I have used various rust remover treatments but always come back to this one. Using it to touch-up areas on a car before painting has always gone very well. It is particularly tolerant of being painted over unlike some other treatments which make paint bubble !I purchased the 1 litre container because it is more aggressively priced than the 250 ml but have found that I needed a lot less than I thought. It is not like paint, it has a watery, slightly creamy consistency and goes a long way. The only thing that did not go to plan on this job was the final colour. I have always painted over it before but on this occasion decided to treat my very rusty, poorly maintained fire-pit with Neutrarust before putting it away over winter (I am not really bothered if the finish burns off next summer). I used a course wire wool to prepare the surface then applied a coat of Neutrarust 221. This then turned my firepit blue and it ended up a very nice deep black colour with a rusty hue to it. I was very pleased with this finish. I had no intention of using paint over the Neutrarust so used a second coat, the following day, for extra protection. Again it turned blue but the final result is not as good as the first as it is now black with light grey blotches. I have decided to leave it as it is because I imagine it will weather and the colour will develop when the fire-pit is used again but I would only use one coat in future if repeating the task.Despite my experience if it is a treatment for rust you need this is my favourite because it :-1] is the easiest to apply because it is not too viscous, water soluble, less toxic – it does not hurt if you accidentally get it on your skin;2] acts as an under coat and tolerates over coating by most paints;3] after one coat over rust it cures to a black colour which looks like you have painted the item black;4] stops the progression of the rusting processThis is my go to rust treatment and I will buy again.

Rust transformation
Wow did not expect these results , it is expensive but boy does work , looked at many products. This looked the best . Try to clean with wire brush first , do not remove underlying rust . This product needs to react with surface rust , just pour into small containers, use artist paint brush and apply. Leave to dry , 24 hours , next day surface has turned black with Some White flecks . But all the rust has disappeared, fantastic .

Effective rust treatment.
Effective treatment, I used it under my 20 year old Jimny. Easy to apply with a brush: do wear gloves and eye protection, it's rather thin and will splash/drip. Second-coat any area's where rust shows through the first coat.Changes to a black finish on contact with rust. Can be overpainted, I used a spray-on undercoat the following day and am pleased with the effect.Brushes can be washed out with water.Best to pour out the quantity you want to use in to an old glass jar with a screw lid: then you can save the unused portion (it will keep if kept in an airtight container).I used two litres to do the entire Jimny (including the inside of the wheels (steel)) and have about an inch and a half left in the container. To be fair a bit of that is spattered on my drive and me though....

Best Renovator I have ever used
I will only ever write a review on a product if i think it deserves it. At the time of ordering it I was replacing the disc pads on my wifes Nissan Juke RS. As most people are aware the disc hubs always go rusty which makes them look a real mess. I actually painted this product (which looks a little like watered down pva glue) onto the hub only , keeping it away from the disc face and the rusted hub turned a mint green within seconds. I went and made a cup of tea, and when I came back to the car 30mins later the rusted hub looked like new without a word of a lie. I was seriously impressed so I did the other disc hubs.My wife was so impressed and pleased that as far as I am concerned this product is a winner. I would say though that 250ml is more than enough for most jobs

So easy to use!
This product is so easy to use. I had heavy surface rust in the usual wheel arch area of a Freelander 2. Washed a wire brushed area before applying this, which turned greenish at first so I could see where applied. Then turned a good black colour. Note it is quite thin, so go lightly at first then apply more if needed. I also applied laynoguard over the top for additional protection for the winter.

If you know, you know
Much cheaper than Kurust.Liquid twice as viscous as Kurust, same colour, very likely the same composition (Phosphoric Acid) plus some form of resin to act as barrier. It works but you have to know what youre doing, top tip, acid becomes more energetic as temperature increases 😉 not recommended bit heat the steel not the product and use mask if the product is likely to vapourise.
