UV Sight [Upgraded Version] Torch Spot Spotter Urine Detector Black Light Ultraviolet

I love this UV Handheld Urine Detector, as its ideal for pet owners, like myself.Design:This Pet Urine Detector just looks like any other standard flashlight. I have to say, I am really impressed with the quality of this flashlight, as it looks and feels very high quality, with its aluminium casing. This flashlight is fairly small and compact in size. It fits perfectly in the palm of my hand and also fits into my handbag, so I can take this flashlight anywhere with me. The torch does have a little bit of weight behind it, however I believe this is a good thing, as it feels solidly made. So I am less worried about breaking the flashlight if I drop it. Also included with this flashlight is a wrist strap, which can be securely attached around my wrist. The flashlight takes 3 AAA batteries, which are included with your purchase (always great). You will find the on/off switch on the top of the torch, which is easy accessible. The button is very easy to press, however you should not be able to accidentally turn the flashlight on, whilst its in your pocket or bag. This Pet Urine Detector is designed to pick up stains and other marks, which you cannot see without an ultraviolet light (such as dried pet urine). You can basically shine it on anything, it will will show you stains or marks that you may have missed whilst cleaning.Performance:This Pet Urine Detector came very well packaged, and unlike some other products, the packaging was very easy to open. This flashlight is very well made, and sturdy, so I'm hoping it will last for many years to come. To operated, just press the only button located at the top to activate the UV light. You can operate and hold the flashlight by just one hand, and the rubberised button is very easy to press, and makes a clicking noise when you have pressed it. Me and my partner have two dogs (a cockapoo puppy and a westie). Although our cockapoo puppy is fully house trained, however he does sometimes have accidents when he gets too excited. And we do not always catch it, so this UV light came in incredibly handy for us. And it meant I could use it to locate any urine and just clean the particular area, instead of going around the whole house with my floor cleaner. The bulbs emit a very strong blue light, which needs to be fairly close to the item that you are inspecting. We were very surprised at the amount of stains and marks this flashlight could pick up. I did find myself going around my whole house cleaning particular areas (I know its sad), so it would not just make a great device for pet owner, but it would also be good for any clean freaks, as you can see marks and stains which you missed whilst cleaning. It can also be used as a counterfeit money detector, as you can just shine the UV light over your notes to check they are real. And it can be used for checking driving licenses, as when you shine the UV light on a driving license, you will see a pattern, which you can only see under a UV light. Overall I'm very happy with this Pet Urine Detector, and would highly recommend it to anyone.(I was kindly sent this torch by the seller in the exchange for an honest and unbiased review. I ordered this product because our cat had weed near the front door. She is usually very clean but there are some new cats about in and out of our garden and she gets very anxious so I think she was marking her territory, unfortunately indoors! After reading more good reviews than bad I decided to order this to help see if there were any other spots about. I couldn't find any urine marks on the carpet near the front door so just assumed I had cleaned it thoroughly (with some super cleaning fluid from the pet shop), however just this morning she missed her litter tray and sprayed the wall. As it was still dark I used the torch again and it didn't show anything up!! I will keep it as it does show up other small marks so it will be handy for that but unfortunately I don't think as a urine detector it is very good.

This torch does what it says - finds the pet urine. However it's not very powerful so you must not hold it more than a few feet from the floor or the spot you're searching out. The dog also found this a fun thing to chase around but I would not recommend using this in the presence of the dog as the torch is UV.Despite batteries coming pre-loaded into the torch it took for tries to get things up and running, despite following the directions on the card provided. The +'s and -'s needed to be lined up just so but once they were, the lamp has worked well.

I bought these to use with my Science Club when trying to view 'invisible ink'. Both tonic water (quinine) and laundry detergent are meant to glow under UV. Although neither type of writing glowed that brilliantly under these lights, they were visible, and I can't say whether it was the UV light or the ink used that meant they were marginally disappointing. However, the items were as described, with batteries inserted, which was a bonus compared to other products, and worked well.

Only showed up stains I could see on the carpet with the naked eye but did not show any other stains. My dog is incontinent so I suspected some previously cleaned urine patches would show up but they didn't. Not sure if this is because I cleaned all of them perfectly in the first place or because this did not work as well as I hoped. Only works in darkness though so be sure to turn all the lights off before using.

Good UV light. Unsure if it shows cat urine as I haven't found any patches on my carpet but that could well be that there are none or maybe the colour/nature of my carpet. Shine it in your kitchen and bathroom in the dark though to show up any bits that you've missed whilst cleaning!

This is very effective at showing stains, which can be a bit frightening if you think you have cleaned everything.....very useful for checking corners if you have a pet or even toddlers and I should think for landlords etc! Wee (in both senses) footprints showed on the litter tray mat when viewed with the light so glad it did its job as there were none on the carpet.Also a good check for under beds as fluff shows up really well, and I was even able to track the progress of my kitten and a chenille scrap as all the little fibres showed up like a path.Really useful, but brace yourself for unspotted stains!

Works ok, and does the job it says it does.Said on the info batteries where supplied,and also said the same on the small box,it was packaged in.Not the end of the world, but don't includethat info, if you your not going to honour it.It is rare to get the batteries in this sortof purchase anyway.
