As beginner I am impressed with my rod and reel combo.Everything was well packed and very easy to assemble.For me it is the right length and very light making casting easy.Good value for money.

OK. So I have a thing for quiver tip rods. Iike the versatility in them.Now. My main rods were both in the shop being re rung. (don't ask). So being the fishing junkie I am I needed a rod to get me back on the water.It had a few criteria to fill.1st. Cheap.2nd. Carbon.3rd had to arrive within 5 days.So I picked this.Its a 4piece carbon rod with glass fiber tips.Not sure on the ratings of the tips but hard and soft will suffice.I got out to my local lake. Fitted the hard tip. Fitted my own shimano real and loaded up a ove bag with a 2oz weight.Casting weight of between 5 and 6 ounce all in.It cast it just fine. It's a bit soft through the action which is great for playing fish but not so good for casting to the horizon.Anyway. An hour later and I'm int a lovely 27lb Common carp.The rod behaved impeccably. Honestly. I was thinking I would be all over the place with it but it handled it just fine.It is now a permenant feature of my car as it packs up so small.The real. Well my lad uses it fishing for skimmers etc. I wouldn't fancy playing anything bigger than 10lb on it.But before that. Ditch the line. It's of no use at all.So. Back to the rod.Using the soft tip and fishing a slack line. Sensitivity is excellent. This time I was fishing for bream and carp to 15lb.I had a great session. Again the rod played every fish like a pro. As good as any of my diawa rods to be perfectly honest.How long it'll last is anyone's guess. But at the moment I'm very impressed and very happy with the rod.

This product is complete rubbish to put it lightly and the sellers customer service goes hand in hand. I baught this rod and reel combo twice. Both times the reel broke after 3-4 fishing trips. The first time i returned it and the second, the seller firstly decided to ignore me, then refused to refund me because it was in a used condition, yes thats genrally what happens when you buy a product funny enough! I also purchased a sling shot from this seller which funny enough snapped after yet again 3-4 day fishing trips. All of this sellers products are low quality cheap garbage and I recommend to stay well clear inless you need an item to last you for a couple days. Big dissapointment. In all the time i have been purchasing from amazon this experience was an all time low. Its a good job amazons customer service is exceptional or i would now have a broken reel and £35 out of pocket
