Amazing map. Very colorful and great quality

Clarification: I actually have two different orders so some of my information may be doubled or even mixed up. I first ordered a single US map and then saw a two pack of the US and the World maps bundled together so I ordered that set as well. The photos of the US are not part of this set but will give you a sense of what both sides look like for comparison purposes.I am a Cultural Geographer and a map fanatic so when I saw this US map, I really wanted to grab it. I can tell you that this is a very good map, well made with deep colors and protected by sealing it in a plastic outer layer. In fact, you would have a hard time tearing this map even if you wanted to; it actually stands up on the floor by itself which is impressive. The instructions are to reverse the roll and let it sit that way for a day or two and I found that when I did it pretty much lays flat. I do have it hanging on a wall in the shop to allow the corners to finish flattening but otherwise it works. There are two sides to this map, if you look at the two photos of the U.S. you will see what I am referring to with their differences. Personally, I like the older classic looking side, to me it looks classier and also has a small bit of relief elements with the mountains. Oh, and this map is VERY large so plan for that. I will easily be the dominate feature on pretty much any wall. I don't think you will find a better deal at this price point no matter where you look but I would suggest you grab one before they sell out.

I hung this up on my wall, because I work in logistics, and like to have a quick reference of where the states are in relation to each other quickly. I have maps of the world, maps of my state, and road maps of the USA up on my walls. This one dominates all of them, and is positively massive. Each state manages to have plenty of little cities listed in there, so that you can have a fun time finding your home town. For example, Arkansas has both Stuttgart AND Jonesboro listed, as well as Texarkana and a bunch of other little towns I've never heard of. There are major roads hinted at, but what this excels at is showing the rivers and the lakes. They're all shown in loving detail.What I love about a map of this size is that it gives you scale for the absolute massive size of the country. Now when I think about moving product from Savannah to San Antonio, for example, I understand why it takes like 2 - 3 days, because it's a looooong journey. On a smaller map, you're like "It's only this far apart. Why are they making such a fuss?" See it on a massive scale like this, and it all starts to make sense.Paper quality is heavy duty. It's not laminated, but definitely glossy.

My 9 year old son has been asking for a map to have on his bedroom wall so he can track all the places he wants to travel to. He is a very active 9 year old so I had concerns about a paper map on his wall if it wasn't framed and sturdy for fear he would rip it down and not be of any use to him. I also realized that he is right at that age that pretty soon, maps wont be cool and he wont want to have them in his room on the wall. So having something that was easy to put up but didn't require much work, such as framing was a huge help. This map offers all of that. Double sided, the map of the US is huge. It is coated in plastic so no concerns with tearing or ripping. This also means you can draw on it with a marker and wipe that away at any time. This was nice so my son could mark the places he has been and where he wants to visit. One side is muted, brown colors and the other side is bright colors. We tacked it up on his wall and are super excited to see him learning more about the US.

I love the size of this map. It laminated and very sturdy. I’m using this map to plan routes for road trips around the states when I retire. Can roll up for travel also.

Made of heavy paper and lamination seems good. It does seem to crease when stored.

I’ve been teaching for 20 years and I always end up spending too much money on small maps that my students have to literally stand right in front of to see so they were really up for show. I hit the jackpot with this one! I didn’t realize it was this big but I LOVE IT!! My 2nd graders were so excited when I pulled it out. They can see it clearly from where they sit and love going up to it and exploring! It’s awesome, I highly recommend it!

This is a sturdy, large!! (60X34) map that would be nice in a classroom or similar setting. I probably should have ordered the smaller version for use at home - but I still really like it.The blue is a nice hue, the print is even and clear, and the lamination is even and sturdy. NIce find!
