Pockets!!
I bought this several months ago to train for a marathon. I’ve had hydration backpacks in the past and I’m not a huge fan. I love this vest. The bladder doesn’t slosh around and it’s the perfect size for longer runs. I love all the pockets to hold fuel and sunscreen. The bladder is insulated but liquids do not really stay cold. It’s pretty easy to clean and dry out. For me, the bladder is good for runs about 12 miles or so but I keep a collapsible bottle in one of the pockets to fill up at water fountains on longer runs. Highly recommend!

Love my running buddy Nathan!
This has been perhaps the best piece of gear I’ve purchased in my trail running career. It’s so comfortable, and truly fits like a glove! I love that it has a convenient place to stash poles, and the large number of pockets are placed so sensibly—you can place pretty much anything that you might need immediately within reach for quick access during your workout.I have had it for a few months now, and it seems to be durable. My only very minor complaint is that the bladder had a very plasticky taste initially, which did get better with time!Highly recommend this pack!

Great, versatile vest
Love all the pockets and the ability to use the bladder and strap pockets for flasks. Used for many different activities and has been great for all. Easy to wash and keep clean.

Excellent fit, very lightweight, just enough storage, and perfectly placed water reservoir.
Sizing:When comparing the size chart to the vest I was sent, I would say that the size chart is very accurate. So, while there is some stretch/give to my vest, it's not enough to size down. I would therefore suggest following the size chart when choosing your size.Lightweight:This vest is one of the lighter racing vests, I've reviewed over the past 3-4 years.Storage:There's not a great deal of storage, but there's just enough compartments to accommodate just the bare minimum of essentials.Hydration reservoir:I really like the way this is placed within the vest. The drinking nozzle also hits right where it should, and is very easy to drink from.Overall, this is not only a great vest for race day, it's also perfect for just about any hot day where you're going to go for a longer run, and don't want weighed down, but you do want the bare essentials.Highly recommended4 stars

Okay
I wanted to like this hydration vest. The fabric is very soft and I liked all the storage compartments. As others have said, the vest is only waterproof on the outside. The inside of the vest is not waterproof. I wore this on a marathon and everything in the pockets got soaking wet from my sweat. I rarely wear this vest for this reason.

If chafing is your problem this is your solution
I've tried every other vest out there. Ultimate direction, Osprey, the Chinese ones you buy on Amazon and for about 5 years I've been using the $19 Chinese one because honestly it's been the most comfortable. Do my other ultra runner friends make fun of me? Sure, do they ask if I also would wear knock off shoes occasionally. But honestly it was the only one I liked until this savior. Whatever you do never but Osprey that will single handedly ruin your life and leave you bandaging the shark bite like wounds on your arms for days to come, and the jerks at their company won't do anything to help. This vest however has nothing on it to chafe you, an amazing insulated bladder so many pockets you'll be happy you packed everything. I can't believe I ran so many hundreds without this thing....the next one is going to be epic! It will be like going from middle seat next to the bathroom on Spirit to First Class on Delta baby! Yes I will have a warm towel and the Nathan vest happens to have just the pocket for it!

the other color is cheaper
The other color (blue) is cheaper than the yellow one. but this one is not too bad.

Lots of great upgrades
I bought this for my sister who is a serious runner. She had two of the previous Nathan hydration packs (10 and 5 years old respectively) and told me this had all the upgrades she could want and need. There is a phone pouch in the front designed for the larger phones, hydration pockets in the front for the insulated bottles, and lots of stretchy pockets in back part for jackets or extra clothing. We (I helped with the setup) had a bit of a learning curve to figure out the insulated bladder, but once we youtubed it, it made more sense. But make sure you look it up as it is not intuitive.

Super comfortable
Super comfortable; I don't notice it at all while running. Lots of pockets for snacks and gear too.
