Fins up! Unlike a pop top, the Margaritaville Multi-Speed Cruiser is very flip-flop-friendly. Built for the beach and the island atmosphere, this laid back machine is not only great transportation, it's great fun. Sturdy steel cantilever frame with built-in luggage rack and a seven-speed drivetrain featuring a Shimano rear derailleur with easy twist action shifting gets you moving. Colorful paint and graphics and sweet whitewall tires get you moving in style. Springer style and swept back cruiser handlebars give you a comfortable upright riding position. Front/rear alloy sidepull handbrakes keep everything under control. Front/rear full coverage steel fenders keep the sand off, a front mounted wire basket holds your stuff, a water bottle cage is available for your tasty beverage and a frame-mounted bottle opener assists in beverage consumption.

Bottle opener doesn’t work
Well the bottle opener DOESN'T open anything. Big let down considering it was why I liked it. The placement of it is to close to the chain so you can’t put a bottle near it. The fender was cracked and the bike was scrapped in multiple areas. The seat is loose because the clamp came cracked . I’m buying one and I hope it fixes that . Also the style of the handle bars takes some getting used to.

Came damaged
I love the bike, it’s cute with the parrot horn. Unfortunately our bike arrived with scratches and small dents. I would have sent it back but it was a Christmas gift and of course I waited until Christmas Eve to put it together so I had to keep it.

Gorgeous and rides great
Love the look and great quality for the price. Seller was easy to work with. Chain guard didn’t work. They immediately sent a replacement. I love my bike.

Great gift
My daughter loves her bike. Most definitely takes an experienced person to help put together. It also helps to watch some videos before assembly.

Comfort 5 Stars, Assembly & Quality 2-3 stars.
I bought this bike for my sister (from Walmart for about $20 less), and I (and my husband) put it together for her. I will rate this bike based on three factors, Ease of Assembly, Quality, and Comfort/Ride.1. Ease of Assembly: The instructions were for a few different models, so you have to flip to the one that looks like it works with your bike, this was a bit inconvenient. Also, some of the diagrams were a little to small and unclear to really see. Other than those two gripes, the instructions were fairly easy to understand. There were two issues with the actual assembly though. First, the basket attaches at the handlebars, then again down below just above the front tire for added stability. Unfortunately, I could not get the support bracket for the bottom of the basket installed. Some of the pre-installed components on the front fender needed to be loosened, but they were so tight that I could not get them loosened in order to install the bracket. My husband is a weight lifter, and he could not get it loosened either. The second assembly issue was the back brakes. We had to loosen, adjust, and re-tighten the brakes about fifteen times. They would be so loose that they didn't brake at all, or they just barely braked, or it would work perfectly but with a really loud squeak. We finally settled on the squeak. Oh, and one more note about assembly, you will need your own tools, none were supplied. You will need crecent wrenches, or socket sets, allen wrenches, and a couple of screwdrivers. Assembly rating, 2 1/2 stars.2. Quality: The quality seems ok, but there are areas of that could be better. The chain guard is extremely flimsy and needed adjusted so the chain didn't rattle against it while riding. It is flimsy enough that I bent it out with just a couple of fingers, and hope it will stay. The shifter is a bit stiff, but I'm thinking that will probably break in nicely. The important thing is that the gears shift very smoothly after you get the shifter turned. As far as brakes go, the back brake assembly feels cheap and unstable. With all my other bikes, there is a part on the frame that holds the brake assembly in a more stable position. The brake assembly on this bike is a little more 'floaty'. For now, they are working ok, even with the aforementioned squeak. As for the rest of the quality, the bike came packaged similarly to other bikes we have ordered. There were no dents, no spoke issues, and all the parts were there. Overall Quality rating 3 stars.3. Comfort/Ride: This is where the bike shines. I took it for several test spins and fell in love, The ride is smooth, the seat is comfortable, and the handlebars are easy to reach without bending over at all. This bike is perfect for an ergonomically correct upright posture. The tires are smoother than those of a mountain bike or a hybrid bike, but not as smooth as the tires of a road/racing bike. This bike is perfect for riding around my neighborhood (in Montana) where hilly pavement is common. After comparing this Margaritaville 7 speed to my Schwinn hybrid (21 speed), there is no doubt I could last longer on this bike based on the overall lasting comfort and smooth gear shifts. On my Schwinn hybrid, I had changed out my handlebars a couple of years ago, and also added a handlebar riser until I could sit upright. It needed it to be similar to this bike as far as upright position goes, because of recurring neck issues. I was happy with my changes until I rode this bike. In comfort (but not quality), the Margaritaville beats my Schwinn. Therefore, the Comfort/Ride rating for this bike is 5 stars. So, this bike is now at my sisters house and I kind of hated dropping it off. One thing I have decided after this experience, is I'm going bike shopping! If it weren't for the quality and assembly issues, I would just get myself one of these, and my sister and I would match! As it stands, I am looking for something very similar to the Margaritaville, but am willing to pay a little more and hopefully get better quality.Based on all the above info, I debated whether to give this bike an overall 4 stars instead of just 3. But since I am now in the market for a similar bike and know I do Not want to purchase this one, I decided on 3 stars. I have found a few other bikes that look very similar in ergonomics to this one, but appear to be better quality. When I make my decision and have some riding under my belt I'll review whatever new bike it turns out to be!

Comfortable Ride, Fits Me Well
I am 5'1 and a half. I really like this bike. I ended up buying it after the 24 inch, coral colored Margaritavill arrived with brakes that weren't right for the bicycle. I'd purchased it and exchanged for this from Walmart, not Amazon. I enjoy riding it. It is very comfortable. The seat is comfortable. Ergonomically, I think its true that it is good with keeping you in a correct posture while riding. The only problem is the noise it makes as I pedal. I am no bike expert. I've just started riding, but it is a loud noise like something is broken. but it isn't broken. I think it is the bike chain hitting the piece over it on the back wheel. It's annoying . With the brakes, the brakes work but I've experienced much better brakes too. Thus, it only gets a 3 star from me. I'm going to take it to a bike shop to see if they'll be able to improve it. I'll have to invest more $$ into it, but if it is improvable it is worth it to me to do it. I'd like to keep it a long time. I don't trust Walmart bike assemblers to do it at this point.
