Works with Linux motion
Using a computer on a closed network, the government is trying to ban and will not buy a lot of Chinese cameras because of security issues. (just google cameras the government is trying to ban). Lorex is made by Dahua. I'm using Linux and a program called motion. The cameras kept dropping frames until I set the frame rate on the computer higher than the camera. Now they work very well, no dropped frames and a higher frame rate than the camera says it will produce. The best night videos I've ever seen.

Good quality for the money
This is a replacement camera to replace a garage camera that failed. I live in Phoenix where summers get to 120F and the failed camera was in an unconditioned garage. The original camera lasted 3 years so I have trouble faulting it for that, but keep that in mind when you install it. The installation was quick and easy. It comes with all the cables needed to connect it to a Lorex system.

Great upgraded PoE Camera for my Lorex System
Initially worried this PoE camera wouldn't work with my older Lorex PoE system, I was pleasantly surprised when the picture came up after swapping in the new camera. I was so happy that I purchased two more.

Camera Lasted 3 Months
Camera is installed under roof overhang. Not in direct sunlight or subjected to direct rain. Temps never drop below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. 92 days after installation, it had stopped working. Lorex refuses to stand behind their product. Sad.

Great Affordable IP Camera
I now have 10 of these Lorex cameras. They are easy to use with the Network Video Recorder (NVR) since the power and signal goes over the ethernet cable (also known as power over ethernet, or POE.) Each camera comes with a 100 foot light gray Cat5 ethernet cable and comes with easy mounting information. These cameras are by far the best value that I’ve found.
