48 inch Aquarium Light
Good lighting for my African Cichlids tank. I am not one to use timer or programming functions and tend to adjust things myself which is easy to do with the wired remote. Build seems robust enough to last. You can’t beat it for the price…….

Very pleased
The light was nicely packaged and worked very well. Lights were bright for my plants. Timer worked with no issues. The fit for my 5.5 gallon rectangle tank was perfect as well as the height. This light worked as I expected.

Nice light if not using a smart plug or timer
My initial impression of this fixture is positive. Reasonably bright over an open top tank, and a pleasant default color temp/spectrum. Fits my standard dimension, rimmed 75gallon fine.I'm using this light over a low-tech planted aquarium running at 25% brightness for 10 hour intervals. As with all of this style of light I've tried, the 24 hour photo-period is too long and too bright for my needs. I would love to have more programmability (create my own cycle and adjust color temps throughout that cycle, etc), but the only fixtures I've found that gave me all the options I want are over 3X more expensive.I don't use any of the unnatural color options or color change mode. Can't imagine why anyone would, but to each their own I guess.My biggest complaint is the same complaint I have about every single one of the less expensive LED fixtures I've tried. I want to use my own smart plugs, but this fixture defaults to off if power is removed and then restored. Same thing for a power outage by the way. If you have a power outage longer than a few seconds, the light will default to off when power is restored. It takes manually resetting the mode/timer before the lights will come back on. That's a problem if you travel for work like I do.Each light I've bought with this issue, I wait for the warranty to end and then I rewire them with a different LED controller. Not difficult if you know what you're doing, but not a solution for most folks I'd guess. Hopefully one day companies will change their default programming to make using smart plugs/timers possible.
