Simple, Effective, and Attractive Fruit Fly Trap
We try to minimize the use of harsh and toxic chemicals in the home and using this trap helps achieve that goal. This is a simple 2 piece trap that is very effective. Simply fill with the recommended vinegar, dish soap, and water combo, put the lid on, and catch fruit flies. We used to use small glass ramekins (uncovered), but those didn't work as well. The slotted top allows the flies to come in to the trap, but makes it harder for them to get out. It also helps keep the mixture from evaporating as quickly as it did in an open container and it hides the dead flies so you don;t have to clean it quite as often. Dishwasher safe and about as simple as it gets to use. Highly recommended.

FANTASTIC RESULTS & It Is Attractive Too
I was hesitant at first based on some reviews but I like the nice design and I thought I would try one. I AM SO GLAD I DID!!!!!! In 24 hours it had over 35 fruit flies in it!! It attracts black gnats too. It’s porcelain & stainless so it’s VERY easy to clean. It’s still working and I have had to clean it out 3 times because the flies love it.I’m using something other than Mothers’ Apple Cider Vinegar. I’m using ALPINE SPICED APPLE CIDER DRINK PACKETS. I just dissolve a little in hot water and let it cool then add it to the trap. I bought a small bottle of APPLE DAWN DISH SOAP for added apple scent. DAWN BLUE ORIGINAL Dissolves the exoskeleton of FLEAS and I’m guessing these critters too. (Great way to kill an occasional only bad flea infestation on your dog without pesticides.) Here is the Amazon link for the spiced cider which, by the way, is delicious for us humans too 🍎😋Alpine Spiced Cider Spiced Cider Apple Flavor Drink Mix, 10 ct - SET OF 2 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08M3JWXN8/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_api_i_505MD9FYJ102DB4A6VTGThe Alpine Spiced Cider is readily available in most grocery stores too. So get some for yourself and your fruit flies😄I’m ordering another trap today… it’s great!!!🔹Listen to the reviews on this thread that are successful. Those that are not successful are doing something incorrectly or are not using enough, or strong scented enough product to attract the flies. This trap W O R K S !!

After trial and error…it’s okay.
Okay so there are a couple of reviews on here that say the product didn’t work at all. At first I felt the same way. It didn’t catch anything for me for two weeks even though I was changing the vinegar. So I ditched the lid and did a honey, water, dish soap mix. Voila flies are sinking. At this point you could really use any ceramic dish but I’m giving it 4 stars because it’s still a very attractive ceramic dish and I prefer using it to a glass jar where I’d have to see dead flies floating. Just know you might have my experience. It’s not the best but it’s fine.

Perfect discreet fruit fly trap
I’d been using a mug of vinegar covered in plastic wrap with holes poked in the plastic. It works but kind of janky looking. This little ceramic jar with the metal top looks nice on any counter. And add just a drop or two of dish soap so the fruit flies can’t escape. It really works!

It's ok
This is nice looking, easy to use and clean. It does catch some fruit flies but there are still some flying around it so it's not amazing.

Works
Easy to use & clean. Does a great job of catching knats. Nice clean unnoticeable design. Doesn't draw attention to it's function. No odor. They do start to deteriorate after a few years.

Looks nice, but ineffective.
I'm not sure what makes fruit flies stay in traps, but this doesn't work. I've made fruit fly traps, by putting apple cider vinegar in cups, covering with cling wrap, and poking holes in the wrap. Those work, but I got tired of making them, and they're a bit unsightly, so I bought this trap instead. I filled it with apple cider vinegar and a drop of dish soap. I've seen fruit flies be attracted to the trap by the smell of vinegar and actually enter the holes at the top. However, I don't know if it's because the holes are too big, or if the holes are the only source of light inside the trap so it's obvious to the flies where they are once they're inside, but the flies have no problem getting out of the trap once they're inside. Most of the flies I've seen go in a hole and exit from the same hole a second later.

Does not get all the Flys. UPDATED
Yeah it works So-So. I bought it 3 days ago. Some flies land in the apple cider vinager, but as you see in the picture. A lot of them just land on top of lid and do not go in the holes. I did follow all of the instructions of the product. At least it was very easy to use. Hopefully in the coming days it catches all the flies. Will update if it does.*UPDATE*3 DAYS after the initial review above. I don't see anymore Flys in my apartment. As you can see on the second picture. There are no more fruit Flys anymore. Third picture is all the flies the product killed.I recommend this to anyone with fruit fly problems. It won't get them all in one day, but eventually it will. it will take days. You just have to clean out the dead flies and refill it with APPLE CIDER VINAGER. 10/10

Bonito y funcional
Es muy bonito y de buenos materiales. Obviamente no capta el 100% de insectos si hay fruta cerca pero, con el tiempo se atrapan muchos insectos y no se ve mal en tu cocina.

Looks and works great
This product is fantastic. It looks so much nicer than the home made fly catcher I was using before and it works great. Keeping it on the counter next to our bananas and it is catching lots of fruit flies. Highly recommend this product.

I caught all the fruit flies in my kitchen!
This little gadget works really great! If you have fruit flies and need a way of getting rid of them, this does the job. I have my own recipe for the solution -- 1/2 cup of boiling water, 2 dollops of honey, 1/4 cup of cider vinegar and a couple drops of dish liquid. I put it in the dish and gently stir the mixture and put the vent on top and boom -- the fruit flies go into the holes and they don't come out again. I highly recommend this to anyone who has a fruit fly issue in their kitchen. It works!
