Bemis 2082CLT000 Venezia STAY TIGHT Toilet Seat Slow Close - White

This is a fabulous heavyweight soft touch toilet seat, seems at the moment expensive but well worth it & very easy to fit, just need a 13mm socket to tighten fully as no tools supplied.

It is surprising how this everyday and relatively inexpensive product has such a beneficial effect on life. The product is well made, well presented and easy to install. Wish I had installed a self closing assembly years ago. This product is hygienic and eliminates the irritating noise of seat closure which may not have been so obvious in its irritation level until eliminated by this product. I recommend this product for quality manufacture and hygiene.

This item was expensive for a loo seat but is of a high build quality standard and easy to fit and secure once fitted with its stay tight through bolt fixings. Not designed to be fitted to"blind" holes and top fitting only toilets. Has to be for through bolt toilets. Given the quality and ease of fitting and the way it looks and functions I would buy again if requred

This is the second Bemis I've bought - upstairs one soft close still going well after approx 3 years.Care has been taken over the design of the fittings, so this seat is easier to fit than any I've had before.The material is also much better than other seats - seems to be solid good quality plastic.

The STA-TITE fittings are really an excellent design, but you need to be careful that the plastic covers that the hinges sit in are in place properly before tightening the plastic bolts, because you only get one chance, as the nuts are designed to shear off once the correct tightness is reached! In my case I trapped the one side of the one hinge over the lip of the plastic. However, I have to say I emailed the company, saying can I buy some more fittings off you, and they emailed them out to my address a few hours later! The seat is now fitted perfectly, and does not move at all - and looks good, even for a toilet seat :0). 10 out of 10 for this seat and the company Beamis.

Very easy to install. Good quality. Easy to clean. And the main thing is that it doesn't move and the seats don't bang when it comes down. Not cheap, but it's worth it.

Eight months on from purchasing this seat and a 'Buxton' model I am updating my previous review. These seats are incredible! I have never had two seats remain absolutely tight for so long. They really are very durable and stable. Neither of them have moved a millimetre in all the time we have had them. Thoroughly recommend them...

We've had two of these, both arrives with a crack in the plastic barrel of the lid or seat hinge. These are clearly a flimsy design, given two items arriving with damage in the same weak points. What is the point in metal hinges, if you're going to build the barrels out of cheap, low grade plastics, and at £50.00 a seat this is hardly excuseable! Installation also looks to be a pain, if you have a non-flat mating surface for the nut as many 60s and 70s toilet pans will. Refund requested; never buying this brand again.
