The disk is what I needed!
It’s exactly what I expected. Canary singing. My canary is not good singer so I decided to buy a disk and teach him better, it really helped. The disk does have quire sounds (sounds like pig squeals) but it doesn’t bother my birds in fact he always tries to sing better song on those places. And it’s not long at all maybe few minutes maximum, other than that squealing sound, the rest of the disc sounds good. It doesn’t bug me because my birds are in a different room and I put music on so low and put repeat on, so it keeps on going. It really helped my canary on singing better and longer songs. And really love that free birch.

My canary loves listening to it & then will sing along with it.
It works great for a lone canary--he runs to the edge of his cage to listen to it, singing along.

Very good - and nicely priced.
We bought this CD to encourage our newly adopted canary (Bird #2) to sing, as we had been told he would. But it was molting season - a time, once a year, in Summer, when all birds go about the serious business of replacing old feathers with new, and put more energy into that process than into the glorious business of singing (or shrieking, as larger birds have been known to do). Our first canary (Bird #1) was still singing, but not at a rate we thought would spur Bird #2 on to said glorious business. So we played this disc - first loudly and then softly - every now and then for a few days. Bird #1 thought it was swell, and sang more; Bird #2 listened for a few days, began to "pip" every once in a while, and, after about three weeks, began singing in earnest. Though molting continues, both sing in the mornings and often briefly in late afternoons, so we play this disc for fun. It gets them both going.

Great to listen to!
Great to listen to and my birds really perk up when I play. I play everyday so far my male hasn't started but it's only been a couple days. I do see them get excited when it plays so I'm hopeful in time. Very happy with cd

Not worth buying.
This is a very amateur recording made from a tape on to a CD. There is a very loud noise and the sound of a microphone probably during the middle third of the CD. This means I can't leave the whole CD playing when I am out of the room as it would shake the Canary off it's perch. I was in the same room when I first heard it and nearly jumped out of my skin, so I can only leave it playing from track 13.I suggest you listen to this CD, but be prepared. I didn't bother to send it back, it wasn't worth the hassle, but I am not using it.

My canaries are singing their little heads off
This is an excellent CD. I play it offend and the minute my birds hear it they just have to chime in. I put the perch that came free with the CD in one of the males cage and he loves it. He spends more time on that perch then any of his other ones. And if you wished you had a canary but can't get one just yet; this CD will make you happy just to listen to it.
