Specification Handrail - 40mm x 12mm solid convex (half moon) bar Wall plates - 100mm diameter x 5mm thick The connecting 'L' is fabricated from 12mm solid square bar The brackets are welded to the handrail approximately 15cm in from each end. Handrails that are 2.2m long or over, have a third wall plate in the centre of the rail for extra stability. Black Zinc Primed - one coat of a zinc based paint is applied to help prevent rust, your rail will arrive gloss black and will require a top coat and then the usual ongoing maintenance you traditionally associate with wrought iron.
