Micro Grabit Screw Remover Kit - 4 Piece

I had a tiny screw on the back of my Lenovo w530 laptop which had been stripped, which stopped me from putting in the upgrades I had bought for it. I was worried the screw removers in the Micro Grabit kit would be too big for my tiny screw judging by the picture in the Amazon ad, but I thought I would give it a try anyway. When the kit arrived in the post I realised how small removers in the kit really are! This looked promising. After a few attempts I managed to remove the damaged screw without much force and without damaging the laptop! Great product!

Got these to extract some screws from a Macbook. The extractors were too big (I knew this to begin with but hoped against hope!) so they didn't do the job. However, they seem to be well made so they will probably serve a purpose in the future.

As advertise this can be use for very small screw like in computer. I had a jammed screw in a laptob, I couldn"t remove the battery anymore and the smallest piece of this kit have done the job perfectly,I followed the instruction, using reverse speed very slowly with pressure and it worked.It actually worked with the sharp part directly I didn"t even had to reverse it to use the screw part.You can see on the photo the screw I removed and a pound for the scale.The piece of the kit do not show any sign of wear after using it.The only critic I will have is regarding the box it's delivered with, it does"nt close properly, I had to add some tape to close it (but I didn"t bought this for the box)

I needed to remove some small screws that were broken in some hardwood. The drill end seemed to work but the tapered screw extractor did not bite the screw very well and it feels as though it has now worn and lost its 'bite'.Although it did not work for me I cannot be sure that I used it 100% correctly.Top Tips:1. Set the drill to counter clockwise at the outset, then use this setting for both the drilling bit for the pilot hole and then the screw extractor2. Use a slow drill speed and plenty of pressure when using the extractor (do not allow your drill to reach a high speed)

I have mixed feelings about this set. It worked ok the first time, but failed after that until I used the next size up. I think that maybe the extractor was worn after the first use. It seems pretty expensive for a single use set, but note that this isn't the Trend branded set that is recommended on YouTube, that set is even more expensive. So if you need to remove one small screw and are prepared to pay £20, go for it, but if you need to remove a few look elsewhere.

I bought these after damaging the screws when changing the battery on my MacBook Air, due to the unusual screw profile that Apple use. Worked a treat, effectively when using the biting bit end, they grabbed the small screw and undid it ... saved a fortune.

Didn't work for me. I wouldn't put anyone off giving them a go if you're stuck. To me they didn't seem to be made from a hard enough material to grab in to my laptop screw. Maybe my screw was especially hard. I ended up getting a technician in the university lab to grind it out.

Really really does what it says on the tin (and I know NOTHING) about DIY. I tried EVERYTHING to get a stripped screw out, to no avail. Found a YouTube video which suggested this bad boy. I was unsure I'd make it work, as the man in the video was a DIY guru, which I'm far from. It was dead easy. Would strongly recommend it.

Je l'ai utilisé pour extraire une vis de mon laptop, fonctionne très bien pour le coté extraction et très précis.Pour le coté perçage j'ai du utiliser une mèche en plus pour que cela fonctionne.Très satisfait du produit vu que j'ai pu extraire (enfin) la vis foiré de mon laptop, mais je trouve ça quand même un peu cher!

Ich habe mir dieses Set bestellt, um einige eingerostete Schrauben vom Luftfilter im Wagen meiner Freundin zu lösen.Da waren die Köpfe bereits durch, und mit dem Schraubenzieher ging einfach nichts mehr.Etwas skeptisch am Anfang also den Fräskopf angesetzt und in den Kopf gehalten - ordentlich ausgehölt - dann den Bit gedreht und mit dem Linksgewinde losgelegt: Und ich war wirklich überrascht, den es dauert keine 1-2 Umdrehungen vom Kopf und schön löste sich die Schraube.Was ich als sehr nettes Feature erachte: Wenn einmal der Kopf "ausgehölt" wurde, kann man mit einem Kreuz-Schraubendreher-Bit und etwas Druck die Schraube wieder rein- und auch rausdrehen. Dabei "drücken sich" die 4 Kanten des Kreuzschraubendrehers in den dünnen, runden Grat - man kann ausgehölte Schrauben zukünftig also auch ohne die Ausdreher rein- und rausdrehen. Das klappt vielleicht nicht bei jeder Schraube (je nachdem, wie fest sie sitzt) - aber bei meinen beiden ging das Problemlos!Bisher musste ich nur 2 Schrauben lösen, das hat aber prima funktioniert - zumal im Set ja auch weitaus kleinere Ausdreher für kleinere Schrauben enthalten sind - bin ich wirklich froh darüber, soetwas in meinem Werkzeugbesitz zu haben.Ich arbeite als Informatiker und habe ab und an auch ein Notebook, an dem die Festplatte gewechselt werden muss - natürlich war schon jemand vorher dran und hat die kleinen Schraubenköpfe mit einem falschen Schraubendreher rund gedreht - da wird mir das sehr nützlich sein!

Für Laptop schrauben etc sehr gut geeignet !Einfach Vorsichtig umgehen und richtig drehen ! wenn man es falsch dreht ist die Schraube durch und man kann sie nicht mehr verwenden !Die Dinger sind nicht gerade sehr stabil deshalb nur 4 /5 Sterne

Diese Bits sind ein Traum!Ich hatte bei meinem Laptop eine kleine Schraube "vernudelt" (Foto). Dann habe ich mit dem kleinsten Bit im Set zuerst das Loch in der Schraube poliert, wobei sich dadurch die Schraube sogar schon etwas löste. Mit dem anderen Ende des Bits habe ich die Schraube dann endlich raus bekommen.Dafür habe ich einen Marken-Bohrer genommen (hatte keinen Akkuschrauber zur Hand). Wichtig dabei: langsamste Geschwindigkeitsstufe wählen und auf "links" drehen - bei beiden Seiten des Bits!Dieses Bit-Set hat gefühlt mein Leben gerettet. Wäre mir auch 6 Sterne wert.
