I know mushrooms/mushroom supplements are so "trendy" right now, but as someone who is chronically ill, I never turn down trying a potential solution!These are in capsule form so they're easy to take (at least for me... If you struggle with large pills, these may not be the easiest for you. I think they're in 00 capsules, so not the smallest!), and I just added them to my daily pill regimen. I haven't noticed anything so far (including anything bad side effect-wise, which is good!), but want to give it at least a month to build up in my system and hopefully give me an immune boost and the other benefits of maitake!Only time will tell, but I'm gonna keep with them, especially since they're tested by a 3rd party lab (which NEEDS to be a requirement for anything you're putting in your body! Make SURE they are tested by a 3rd party lab, AND view the test results for yourself! Please do your research on any supplement/brand you're considering, because anyone can sell "supplements" with anything they want in them, since the FDA is not involved.... Be extra skeptical of any bottle that has the FDA logo on it, as that's another thing I've seen to try to confuse people (the FDA doesn't approve supplements like this, but foreign companies often just throw their logo on to seem more "legit."). So just be aware of what you're putting in your body! I do wish the bottle was more informative and comprehensive as far as the claims and potential benefits, but that's pretty par for the course these days (unfortunately).And, of course, ALWAYS consult your Dr before starting any supplements. These don't interact with any of my meds, but make sure you check and confirm that as well. The last thing you need is this potentiating your medication, OR making it less effective!

I’ve been wanting to give a Maitake mushroom supplement a try, and they seemed like a good time to do it from a reputable company. I like that this is a full 30 day supply, from a made in the USA product. These are relatively easy to swallow, if you are used to taking supplements or other vitamins, you should have no problem. They do have somewhat of an odor, but I was expecting that since this is a mushroom product. I am looking forward to seeing the results of taking these in the long-term.

VH nutrition is a company I hadn't heard of before, and especially when taking supplements I do some additional research on them before trying anything. Their website is pretty good, and contains some information on their mission statement and quality control. They claim to manufacture in a self-owned cGMP facility, and have done 3rd party lab testing since 2022. No information on frequency of lab testing, whether or not they do internal testing (if they have their own lab), nor do they post any lab results. This is the sort of information I look for when trying a supplement from a new company, but all of this information is up to the individual to interpret.As for the supplement itself, I look for a plastic seal, paper/adhesive seal, and a cotton ball. Everything is there. Additionally, inside the bottle was a small info-graphic placed by VH nutrition. It says they will issue refunds if not satisfied, and provides some solid advice on how to determine the efficaciousness of a new supplement. All information that I would agree with.The recommended dosage of the supplement seems OK. There's a lot of varying information on dosage of Maitake from my research, so hard to say for sure whether or not this is an efficacious dose.And for the pill - it's very mushroom-y smelling/tasting. Something I would expect from a supplement like this. So, nothing out of the usual. Pill size is reasonable and not too difficult to swallow.

These capsules were easy to swallow with no flavor. I haven't taken this type of mushroom before and didn't notice any adverse effects after a week and a half of taking it.
