A good tripod but it feels pretty heavy
This tripod works great for overhead usage thanks to the fact that you can adjust the angle of the canopy. Other overhead tripod only has one angle so this feature already makes this tripod my favorite overhead tripod. However, you have to take apart the entire tripod to convert it to overhead use. And if you want to pack the tripod away, you have to take it apart and put it back together to its default state before you can pack it away. This means setting up and taking it apart will take longer than it should be.Moreover, if you use the tripod for overhead use, you will lose the overall height since you are using the center column as a canopy. Nevertheless, the tripod legs can extend fairly tall so you won’t lose too much height. Though, I do wish that this tripod includes an extra rod so that you have the option to increase the height in overhead mode. Another thing that I wish this tripod has is the ability to extend the canopy longer than its 12 inches canopy.Lastly, for a tripod a this price point, I’m very disappointed that they couldn’t include a sand bag sleeve. I know Neewer makes a set of water/sand bag sleeves and while they are not that expensive, it makes me wonder why they didn’t include it in this tripod set. For the tripod to work at its best in overhead mode, the tripod will need some sort of weight to help keep the tripod stable.Despite the shortcomings, this is a decent tripod and would be a good one to have in your photography studio or gear kit.

Well Made
Great tripod from Neewer. The center column being able to go vertical and horizontal is a game changer, especially for those overhead photos. All of the parts fit together nicely and there's no issues with anything coming loose.
