I was looking for a runner to use in an office in my husband's lab, mostly to dress up a tired and dull space. I had looked at numerous (in the billions???) examples of runners and none "hit" me. Not until I found the Oriental rug runners from SweetHome Stores! There are a myriad of colors, so the only difficulty was making up my mind. I decided on this red runner because it made me happy! I knew it would do great things for that space and give me the opportunity to use a couple of wonderful accent colors. I have Prime, so my order arrived on a Sunday and on time. The rug has an anti-slip bottom, so no need to purchase anything else -- it's complete. I can't say anything about the wear as I haven't installed it yet. (Still cleaning the office -- it's in an archaeology lab.) I did run a couple of vacuums over it at home, just to see which worked best so that I could take that vac to the office. As you might expect, the pile is very low. I doubt much else but dust will get into it, so even a broom would take care of that. I'm giving this FIVE STARS for the beauty of the design and colors AND for the automatic anti-slip bottom! I plan to redo hubby's office and will order another runner for that from these lovely people. OH! The price? Excellent! Quality at a good, fair price! Very happy customer!

I didn't think I'd like this rug. It's thin, it has an anti-slip rubber backing and the pattern is printed on the rug (not woven fibers). I thought that for $17 for a runner, it would look cheap and flimsy. But I was willing to take a chance on it. In spite of my anticipated dislike, I found that I really, really like this rug. Yes, it's thin, but the print is so pretty and it works great in my hallway. I LIKE the anti-slip rubber backing. I LIKE the pattern (printed or not), and for the price, it can't be beat. I've had it in the hallway for two weeks now, so I can't tell how durable it will be, but since it's surprised me already, I wouldn't be surprised if it continues to be a nice rug for a great price.

Very good, probably five stars for the price to quality ratio. It has a thin rubber backing that keeps it in place on tile, and the overall profile is fairly thin and low pile for a carpet. It is medium quality overall, but very good for the price. Like some other reviews, the color is not 100% according to the picture online or even to the picture on the price tag that was attached to it. The blue is more a green/blue color, still okay but liked the color in the pictures slightly better. Using it as an entryway rug, so all-in-all, won't mind it getting muddy and wet for the price. The size was perfect, slightly less than a 3x5 but the dimensions are uniform. Would probably buy again.

I have had this rug for about a year. Right now it sits on carpet in the living room. There's also furniture on top of it. The rug gets tugged stuck in the vacuum and bunched up constantly. I've spent countless hours trying to flatten it.I feel like this would've worked way better on like a hard surface but definitely not carpet.It is very pretty though.

I bought this rug to help our geriatric dog navigate our laminate floors. It's actually very attractive! It has a slip-resistant backing and it lay down flat as soon as I unrolled it. It's thin enough not to pose a tripping hazard for our dog's geriatric owners! The blue parts of the design are more prominent than the picture indicates, and it blends perfectly with my furniture and drapes. This rug is advertised as being washable, which is a plus when you have an older dog. If I have to wash it, I'll update my review to relate the outcome.Update 2/3/18: I have two of these rugs. I took both of them to the laundromat, stuffed them into the largest machines, and washed them in hot water, because our geriatric dog had a big accident on them. I also dried them in the dryer. They came out much softer than originally, but they still lie flat and there seemed to be no damage. I think if they were washed more often, the skid-resistant backing might separate from the rug, this time they came out OK.

Expensive handmade and hand-dyed rugs have their place, but that place is not a high-traffic hallway where dirty shoes often tread. This inexpensive, but lovely, runner enlivens my boring "builder neutral" flooring, while catching any stray dirt the outside mat may have missed; the rug's busy design even obscures the fact I sometimes neglect regular vacuuming, since it hides any dust, lint, or dirt. I don't worry about the rug being in a high-traffic and sometimes dirty area, since it cost less than a decent restaurant meal.If you do have expensive rugs in your home, folks will not confuse this rug for those. However, this rug doesn't look so cheap as to have come from the bargain bin at the discount store, either. It is simply a good buy when you are looking for an economical solution to dressing up a high-traffic area.

I like the look of these rugs that I purchased for my kitchen. The only thing that could possibly be improved upon is the backing. It doesn't really hold well and they are slipping when I walk on them. The larger size that I purchased is fine. It's the small runners that are slipping around.I purchased the larger rug to go under my dining room table because I needed a rug there, but I didn't want to spend a fortune because I have 2 cats. Anyone who has cats understands that they can really do some damage to rugs because they get "sick" a lot. This rug looks rich, but If anything happens to it or I tire our it, I can change it out. Great purchase. As you can see by the picture, I also have one in the front hall.
