Nice when your old
Well not sure how you really rate a butt cushion except to say it feels good on the back side. I use it in my favorite lazy boy chair. It has held up really nice, my dog likes it as well she will sit in the chair from time to to time, the rubber bottom coating does help it from sliding around in the chair. Have not washed the cover yet so can’t really say how it will hold up to a washing. Been pleased so far

Fits perfectly
I work from home, so my seat on the couch is pretty worn in and hurts my tailbone. I tried using a gel seat cushions and they wouldn’t keep shape. Foam is the way to go. The 3” is perfect because when I sit on it, it doesn’t raise me up too high. The seat cover is REALLY soft and comfy. Way softer than the material on my couch. The cover also stays in place. It doesn’t move so you don’t have to worry about the grippy side showing. It’s a little on the softer in terms of density, but I didn’t want to sit on anything hard. Honestly it’s so nice that I just bought another one for my husband’s side of the couch.

Comfy but a bit wiggly
It made sitting in my recliner more comfortable and the washable cover is a plus although I put a towel over it. It does tend to move around a bit but then I am not small, nor huge, so that might have something to do with it. I am glad I bought it although I would have liked it more at a lower price.

For me its perfect.
I bought this large cushion for my Heavy Duty Extra Large Office Chair. Im 6 foot and weight in at 250 lbs. After one year on my chair it began to wear a bit on my bottom end. Im no stranger to this occurrence. The choice here is between the 3" thick model or the 5". I took the 5 ". The basically 20 " square size drops nicely into my chair. I did have to lower my chair a bit to accommodate the extra height of the cushion. Now to the stress test results. I noticed the difference right away of course. After two weeks planting my bottom on this cushion I have to say that I am in heaven. I can sit at my PC for hours upon hours without gluteal fatigue. Problem solved. I recommend this product.

Semi-firm cushion
Helps getting up from low sofa. Not great for use with a recliner.

Not as firm as I’d hoped.
I’d gotten it for elevation and find it quite soft for that.

Husband just had hip surgery
My Husband hd just had hip surgery and felt he could use this cushion for added support in his chair that was aging gently - much like him !! However he discovered it was too firm after some use and took to a much softer cushion !!

as advertised
One thing I didn't take into account...now that I've put a 5" thick cushion on top of the seat of my La-Z-Boy...I need to jump up, backwards, into the seat as it is now 5" higher than before. It also throws the centre of gravity out on the chair, because I sit higher, it tends to be, initially, a little tippy rocking back. Not the cushions fault, exactly...just physics.
