Girls' Potty Time

The perfect potty training book! (And there's a boy's version too) :)
My little girl loved this - the book uses photos rather than drawings, the white background means the pages are clean and clear, and seeing real-life pictures of other little girls learning to use their potties really helped her understand what we were trying to achieve with the whole potty training lark. She even gave all the little girls names, as if they were her friends! :) It has a nice little rhyming story, reward stickers at the back, and along with Elizabeth Pantley's "No Cry Potty Training" (to help keep mummy sane during the process! ;D ) this was really the only potty training book we needed. Used the boy's version for my son too. Brilliant :)

Wonderful Book
Bought for my granddaughter, it has certainly encouraged her to sit on her potty. Much better having actual photographs of little people than a cartoon drawing. Would recommend this book.

Excellent tiolet training tool
I bought this for my 2 year old, who really did relate to it in terms of toilet training. The real life pictures are really good quality and very effective visually. And the book from start to finish really gives out the message about toilet/potty training. The only down side is that there are not enough pictures of girls sitting on the actual toilet seat (only one at the end, hence 4 stars). There are fun little stickers included to help with reward charts. There are pictures of girls doing accidents, wearing panties and not nappies, pictures of doing potty outside, using the toilet roll, washing their hands and in the end of the book all the girls get balloons and stars because they have potty trained successfully. I would really recommend this book to any parent starting out toilet training. Other cartoon version books are not as effective for teaching purposes as this one is with the real life pictures.

Very helpful book
We have this one and the one for Boys and both books are basic, informative and very helpful in the potty training process. Both my son and daughter love reading these books and pointing out which child is doing a wee and which a poop! A great book to read in the build up to starting potty training. The illustrations are of children sitting on potties or the toilet, washing their hands and pointing at an accident of wee on the floor. There are also stuffed animals on the potties here and there. The book is written in a rhyming style that flows nicely. One of our potty training 'good buys'.

Did not work for us
I wanted a book that would look like real life and this is based on photographs but it did not keep my toddler very interested as it kind of recycles the same stuff on every page. If it would have been developed into a story it would probably work better. We used it like twice without any impact on the potty training.

Nicely produced and well thought out
My 26mo daughter loved this book when potty training. It is all in rhyme so gets her attention and with pics of other girls to identify with. However it's not all fairy princessy which is good as she doesn't identify with that particularly. The pages have lots of different interesting things to look at all reinforcing the simple messages, and it has the usual brilliant DK production values. The stickers were fine but we bought a bunch of separate ones anyway as there is only 1 sheet, and made our own chart. The toilet seat shaped front cover was funny but not a real selling point, I did wonder whether she would get confused and try and actually sit on it (lol). We especially liked 'the girls don't need their nappies any more, they've put them all away', that seemed to strike a chord. The book covers travel potties which I guess is unusual, having an accident (so normalises this) and trying the big toilet too so plenty of precedent for your little one to copy. Recommended.

Great help for potty training!
My 21 month old daughter absolutely loves this book!It has become her firm favourite and i think has really helped her understand potty training. I only wish I had bought it earlier so I could have introduced it a few weeks before we started potty training. It gives really clear instructions with pictures and great fun that the front cover is the shape of a loo seat!Fantastic help for potty training!

Successful and Fun Potty Training Book
We got "Girls' Potty Time: Includes Special Reward Stickers!" for our little girl and had a lot of success with it. We previously used the boys' version and found it just as effective. The reward stickers are a great motivational tool. We love it and highly recommend it for successful potty training!

Fantastico
