Like the size
Great to use for sauces and other things when a regular soup ladle is to big.

Now THIS is a ladle!
All of the ladles I've purchased for use in my non-stick pots are too small and/or flimsy. This one is perfect - one scoop to fill a bowl!

Great ladle, nice design
Things I liked about this ladle: design is well balanced, the shaft is at a proper angle to scoop (other ladles have perpendicular shafts that make it difficult to get last material out of deeper pots), it has a flat part under the ladle head so it won't roll, earthy design using 50% wheat straw in handle, very deep bowl (2-scoops filled the bowl nicely), easy cleanup, used it with tomato-based soup and did not see any staining after cleaning it.One thing I wish was different: the ladle head shape - I have used one for years that has a flatter front edge (looks like a slightly stretched rubber band) rather than circular like this one. It makes it easier to scoop the last of the soup or chili out of the bowl and pour contents out of ladle. If they made one like that I would buy it in a heartbeat. (This is the only reason I went with 4/5 rather than 5/5) One thing I will be watching for in the future is the fact that it is made from 2 pieces (ladle and handle) and I am interested to see how it ages after repeated dishwasher cleanings and uses.OVERALL great ladle and if you prefer the circular bowl shape this is a great product and they are trying to be more environmentally responsible.

Quality Construction and Design
When I ordered this, it was a 5$ ladle, and at that price this thing is a steal. Now to be fair I don't know how long a wheat straw handle will last, but it feels sturdy, and didn't flex in any way while spooning out a large batch of curry. It definitely has the feel and look of something that is recycled/not-entirely-plastic, but unless you're planning to serve the president with this then I think that's just fine. The rougher material actually feels really good in the hand as well, since it adds a grippier texture to make it naturally non-slip. I also love that they made the lip of the ladle stick out a little, since that means the furthest point is the edge, thereby making it actually possible to get into the corners of a bowl/pot. I'm sure anybody who's used certain style ladles before knows the frustration of having to go get a spoon/spatula to get every bit out of the pot, but with this ladle that's no longer necessary. And with a flat spot on the bottom it lays on the counter without trying to roll away. Genius. As said, for 5$ this thing is great. It won't win any awards for looks, but it certainly delivers on features. I have another ladle that was designed with looks in mind, and I hate using it. But with this one, well lets just say my next batch of curry will be sooner than expected. 5/5, what's not to love?

Good small ladle
I have the matching spatula and like the set. The material and weight feel comfortable for me. This is a small ladle, and I think it is a good size for stirring as opposed to serving. It is still and works well for scooping something like meatballs or sausage and peppers onto a sandwich. I would not use it to label bowls of soup as it is too small, but it is easier not to drip when stirring. Think of it as a cross between a spatula and a spoon.I happily own other Zyliss kitchen tools, so I expect this to last like those others.

Large, well made ladle with one flaw
Item: Zyliss Large Ladle, Sustainable Wheatstraw/Nylon, Soup Ladle for Cooking and Serving with Heat Resistant Silicone Head, Beluga Grey, 12.5" x 3.7", Dishwasher Safe, 5 Year GuaranteeThis is a large lage with a 3.5” bowl. It’s a great size for serving up from a large pot. The handle is easy to hold and the ladle is easy to use. The grayish color is fine to me.This ladle is made with a heat resistant head and a sustainable material for the handle. This is a great combination and I’d love it except for one problem. There is a visible seam with a tiny gap where the two materials meet. Seams like that are very hard to get clean. Ever since finding mold growing in a similar seam I have avoided items with seams. I took off two stars for the seam.Pros:* Large bowl* Nicely balanced handle* Dishwasher safeCons:* Seam between the nylon head and the handle

Nicely made large ladle
I have several of these Zyliss tools, these are solidly made basic kitchen utensils. There is nothing fancy here, it's not about the looks - just a well made and a little boring-looking grey colored tool. The handle, which is the part made with "up to 50%" wheatstraw, has lengthwise grooves which ensure good grip, while the nylon working surface, hard and solid, has very little flex. It handles dishwasher without any issues, the nylon portion does not seem to wear much or get scratched up, no matter what I do with it. Overall, definitely recommend this quality product.

Good ladle, okay environmental credentials
I try to avoid plastic utensils for environmental reasons, but I also have some non-stick pans that I'd like to keep in good condition, so needs must. I thought this product range by Zyliss, which replaces half the plastic in the product with wheat straw, is a good way to be a bit greener... though a metal or wooden ladle would be even better, environmentally speaking.Still, if you prefer a plastic ladle, this is a good product. The material actually feels really nice, it does feel different to regular plastic utensils, but I personally think it feels and looks a lot more premium. The size of both the handle and the bowl of the ladle are good.I was going to write that I don't think £8 is good value - however having never bought a ladle before I thought I'd check my other options. My usual go-to brand for utensils sell a plastic ladle, which is currently £14 (!!!) on Amazon. Even your unknown Chinese brands, both plastic and stainless steel, are only marginally cheaper (£2-3 off at most), so on reflection I think the price is good.

Not too heavy, nice portion size, works well.
Easy to handle and easy to clean and has a slightly flattened base which allows it to rest on a surface. The ladle material hasn't scratched any surfaces that I've used so far, the portion size is good and the weight of the ladle when in use is not too heavy or difficult to handle. Will definitely continue to use going forward!£8.00 as of writing.5/5

Deep
This utensil is a deep ladle and although described as large I find it just the right size without being too big. It feels sturdy and well made. The use of wheatstraw adds a sustainability plus point if that's important to you but that's no good if it doesn't function properly and in that respect this works very well.
