Great performance
I got the Minix C1 dongle because I needed to connect my stuff wirelessly and didn’t want a ton of hassle. It’s really small, which is great because I can just chuck it in my bag and go. It connects my phone to the TV with barely any setup, and so far, it’s been pretty reliable. I use it a lot with my iPhone 15, and it’s nice not to deal with cables everywhere. Used it over a month now, so far so good, highly recommended.

It works well. It's getting VERY hot though. Scary hot. ( EDIT! )
EDIT: ( Seller has made this right and i will be ordering another after my return, this may just be a defective item, which happens wifh everything from any company. Dont be scared to try this as the seller is very prompt on contacting their buyers.) Finally one of the wireless HDMI that actually works. I'm worried because the dongle itself is getting SUPER hot. I'll update once I know if this is normal or a defect. update: I contacted the company and asked if this was normal and if I could exchange for another if it wasn't. All the reply said was " thank you for your review, it really helps the amount of sales we get" , etc. It then asked if I wanted to change my review and If they had resolved my problem... they hadn't even addressed the issue let alone solve it. I hate this junky customer service.

It works great for my needs, wireless from a laptop
I was looking for a good way to project images and video from laptop without needing to run cables connecting the two devices. This isn't necessarily the typical usage for a home theater situation, but there are some advantages to that too. From my laptop (MacBook Pro with USB-C), which I can operate without being plugged into to anything to a battery powered projector wirelessly connects with HDMI input and USB-B charging/data port (Nebula Mars 3). This allows me to position the projector on a tripod or stand freely for the purposes of projecting art onto surfaces for tracing or photography for video art installations on location where there might not be outlet power or the ability to have long cable lengths in the way.One thing to be aware of is that there is a slight delay from the video source (my laptop) to the projector, which will cause the audio from my laptop to go out of sync. It is noticeable with people talking on screen and the sound not matching lip movements. This can be solved by also selecting the projector as the audio output from my laptop. There is still a delay from the original signal on my laptop, but the audio and video to the projector are in sync. This situation of lag would not be useable for most video games. Hopefully that was explained in a way that is understandable. I briefly tried mirroring the screen from my android phone with USB-C port. I had to remove the phone cover to have room for the connection, and I did get it to work for a moment, but with a free, ad-supported app that was annoying. With more searching for a good app, and perhaps a USB-C extension so I wouldn't have to remove the pone case to connect, this could be something I use in the future, but for now, projecting from my laptop or video switcher with HDMI out is my priority. The dongle connected to my laptop gets fairly hot when in use, but other dongles I connect also get hot, so I am not concerned about this. Speaking of dongles, because this is a two part device, with both pieces being black, I will apply bright color stickers with a label to make sure I don't get this mixed up with other pieces like HDMI cables and adpaters that might get mixed together in a bag.

Only so so
I loved the concept of this, but for me it just didn’t work out.Problem 1: the receiver that connects to the device (tablet, cell, laptop etc) got excessively hot to the point I could fry an egg on it! As such I couldn’t trust it not to damage my tablet! Problem 2: the image quality was awful. Problem 3: the audio lag was unbearable.I expected more from this considering how much it cost. I bought a similar product that was much cheaper and works flawlessly. Perhaps the one I got was just faulty and everyone else has been lucky. However, there was no need for me to try again as exchanges weren’t possible; you have to return for a refund, and repurchase.

Great For Wireless Transmission - And Thumbs Up For Ease Of Use!
I tested this out using my television and Samsung Galaxy S23 phone. I had more trouble finding the ports on my television than any issues with the setup... so that's a knock on Visio - not the MINIX C1. After I plugged the receiver in to the TV and selected the proper input - all that was left to do was simply plug the transmitter into the phone and it simply worked. That was a relief! Some devices require the use of a WiFi connection... but this is direct - which makes it much easier to work with.It emulates the screen of the phone - so it's quite flexible in that sense. I'm sure that it would work better using a laptop to transmit, as the screen sizes would more closely match each other.Something I found of concern to me is how hot the transmitter got in no time at all. Very hot. So hot that I cut my testing short so that I wouldn't damage my phone. I'll be ordering a USB-C extension to move the heat away from my phone - and you might do the same, as heat is the enemy of electronics. The other issue is getting power to the receiver if your television or monitor does not have a USB port. The cable is so short that it won't reach a USB power block - so it, too, will need an extension... not to mention you'll need the USB power block, itself, if your television or monitor can't supply the power. All in all I'd say that this is a nice, tidy package that takes up very little room. Be aware of it's limitations that I mentioned above so that you'll know what additional items you might need.
