Arrived very promptly in perfect condition. Looks amazing in my bedroom. Only on my second day. Can't wait to feel the benefit from this lamp. Love the warm light setting.

No idea about SAD capabilities, but as an attractive, versatile light this is great
I am lucky enough not to be afflicted with SAD, in fact I love snuggling up so much I get kind of sad when the evenings get lighter! Therefore I lack the knowledge and experience to comment at all on the lamp’s ability to alleviate such symptoms. But as a simple table lamp, I love it. Sleek wooden base, cylindrical shade, intuitive remote control allowing you to choose one of 3 shades of white, adjust brightness and to set a timer. Looks lovely lit up, I favour the warm white on dim setting, which I’m guessing wouldn’t much help SAD-wise, but makes me happy anyway. Has a mains cord, although not a very long one, do wish it was longer as it restricts where I can put it. Had thought it could be used cordless and charged up with the USB port, but seems I was mistaken. But you can charge your phone using this port when the lamp is plugged in?? I’m not using it as a bedside light, but I can see that could be a useful feature if you were, though I haven’t tested that aspect.

Brightens my day
I've been using the Hiloshine Sad Lamp for a while now, and it's honestly made a noticeable difference in my daily routine. The lamp is straightforward to use, with a remote control that lets me adjust settings without getting up. It's been a great help, especially on those long, dark winter days. The lamp offers three color temperatures, which I find very helpful. Depending on whether I'm working, reading, or just relaxing, I can choose the light that feels best at the moment. The stepless brightness adjustment is a fantastic feature, allowing me to get the light just right, reducing eye strain and improving my focus.I've used the timer function to automatically turn off the lamp, which is perfect for when I'm using it before bed or if I want it to turn off after I leave for work. The memory function is a small but appreciated touch, saving me the hassle of resetting my preferred settings every day.The lamp's design is sleek and doesn't take up too much space, which is great for my small desk. It's also lightweight enough to move around the house if I want to change my working spot.Overall, this lamp has been a solid order. It delivers what it promises: a simple, effective way to get more light into my day without any fuss.

Very attractive and useful bedside lamp
Lovely looking lamp with a retro hessian style shade and a wood effect base. I'm not equipped nor qualified to comment on its efficacy as a true SAD lamp. Only thing I will say is that it's my understanding that a SAD lamp replicates natural daylight and this lamps brightness doesn't come close to that, even when sat right next to it.Having said that, I never got it for its SAD abilities, I got this primarily to use as a bedside lamp and for that purpose it's terrific. There's 3 colour temperatures and various brightness settings to choose from so I can always find the right kind of light for my mood. The timer function lets me set it to automatically turn itself off too in case I fall asleep.I do not like the touch sensitive 'buttons' on the lamp base. Even when it's right in front of me I have trouble seeing the black labels that show you where to touch. When it's positioned off to the side on a bedside table you haven't got snowballs chance in hell of finding them. They should have put some physical buttons on it, especially given the price. Thankfully the remote control is really good. It's not one of the usual kind you find with cheap Chinese goods with the rubbish membrane buttons. This one has actual buttons that you can feel with your fingertips so you can operate it in the dark by touch alone if necessary. In summary a great looking table or bedside lamp that performs well and feels like a quality product. Remote control works great (and is essential in my opinion) and the various colour temperature settings and timers offer a genuine benefit to the user. I'm not sure about its SAD abilities but I do know I hate the touch buttons on the lamp itself and also think it's probably a little on the expensive so I'm giving it 4 stars.

Good lamp, query a SAD lamp
This lamp is a fine blend of quality and style, well-priced and boasting a charming natural aesthetic. It's versatile, offering full features that cater to various needs. However, as someone seeking a remedy for Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), it's crucial to approach this lamp with a clear understanding of its capabilities and limitations. It claims a maximum light output of 10,000 Lux, aligning with the standard for effective SAD therapy. Yet, its unique design, featuring a 360-degree light distribution and a substantial shade, seems to dilute its intensity compared to traditional flat light-box SAD lamps. This design choice, while visually appealing, means it doesn't quite deliver the potency I'm accustomed to with conventional SAD lamps. For those treating a diagnosed condition, it's advisable to consult with a healthcare professional before relying on this lamp as a primary treatment. It appears that for comparable therapeutic effects, extended exposure might be necessary. On the colour spectrum, only the cooler settings seem to meet therapeutic requirements. The warmer hues, while soothing, may not contribute significantly to SAD therapy. Thankfully, the lamp's instructions provide guidance on customising its settings for everyday domestic use, including disabling the timer. While it may not be the ultimate solution for intensive SAD therapy, this lamp excels in its overall quality and versatility. It's more than just a therapeutic device; it's an adaptable lamp suitable for general use, from brightening up a room to creating a cosy, sleep-inducing environment. Hence, it earns a solid 4-star rating, reflecting its excellence as a multifunctional light source, even if it's not the foremost choice for severe SAD treatment.
