I was doing some home improvements and one of the things that I felt would be a nice touch was to replace the currently existing sink plug with something a bit more stylish.This plug both looks and feels amazing - it has some heft to it which indicates quality manufacturing and also the matt black colour compliments my white sink very well.The plug also comes with two additional rubber rings in case the one already on the plug wears out or snaps.My only cautionary point is that you should definitely make sure that this will fit your sink as it has no tolerances and only fits a specific type of sink.Overall, I think this is a great purchase, especially at the value of £9 (at the time of writing)

This kit from Chonphan is going to be useful for a couple of reasons. One is that your plug cap is just looking a bit tired or tarnished, the other is if the “click clack” mechanism on your plug has gone and you need to replace the spindle.The spindles are relatively straightforward to swap out, but if you just want to replace the cap than that is a job of just a few seconds as you unscrew the old one and then screw on the replacement.The cap is billed as chrome and has a powdered black finish. The spindle is brass. You also get two spare washers if you need them.The neck of the cap isn’t as deep on this one as on our existing cap but it fitted OK and works well. Time will tell if the finish lasts but on first impressions this seems like a good product. When you think that a spindle by itself would be £3 to £4 then it seems to be good value.

Sink plugs aren't exactly the most glamorous or complex of items, so I'll keep this review short. We needed a spare one for our sink and this does the job it needs to. It's solidly built, easy to use (just plug it in and push it when you want it to come out) and most importantly, stops the water from going down your plug hole. I am only docking a star because this is quite expensive (over £10 at time of review) and ultimately, you could likely get a similar one for cheaper from most discount home stores.

Got this to replace a limescale-ravaged plug in the downstairs toilet. I am hoping black will stand up better over time than the standard chrome. It was easy to swap them over – just unscrew the old one and screw in the new one. Exactly the same standard fitting. Seems like good quality. Nothing to criticise.

I think these are all of a standard size. I didn’t require the top part as it was larger than the one I had already. However, the mechanism and screw thread on top were exactly the same as my exiting unit. I swapped out my old one for this and it now works like a dream. Great product.

You need to make sure this will fit your sink. The top cover is 66mm which is a lot bigger than my current one. The spindle underneath is exactly the same as my current one. It comes with a washer installed but you also get 2 spare ones.Comes in basic packaging and currently priced at £10.99. Seems sturdy and well made, but only time will tell how well it is built .
