A Superb and Very Useful Book to Add to Your Library
Frankly, until this < Nolo's Encyclopedia of Everyday Law: Answers to Your Most Frequently Asked Legal Questions 12th Edition > [ https://www.amazon.com/dp/1413330673 ] was offered to me by Amazon Vine, I did not know that such a book existed.I received it two days ago and I have spent a couple of hours just perusing various sections of it.It is fascinating to read. While at the present time I have absolutely no need of legal advice (and I hope that it stays that way!), if I were ever in some sort of difficulty, it is nice to have this book around just for some quick advice. It is written very well in such a way that almost anyone - even a precocious child - can easily understand it.It covers just about any legal subject which someone might encounter. And it's right when it states that almost everything in life has some sort of legal ramification.Buying this book is like buying insurance. You buy and pay for the best insurance you can afford and you hope that you'll never need it!It's the same with this book.Buy it. Read it (just for enjoyment and edification) and put it away until such time (and we hope that that time never arrives) when you do need it.It does not replace legal advice from a competent lawyer but it does indicate when you'll need such advice. And when and if you do need legal advice, having read the appropriate section of this book, you will be able to speak to a lawyer with some confidence. The price for the VERY high-quality paperback ($34.99) is well-worth it and represents excellent value for money.I recommend this book to EVERYONE with the highest recommendation I can give.Thank you for reading this.Lawrence H. this is a great resource.
this is a good resource to consult for common US citizens. though with some very specific info, like specifying the federal minimum wage being $7.25/hour and mentioning financial aid during the federally recognized COVID pandemic some of which has already ended. though it does a good job of explaining some longstanding things like the different types of deeds and their function.this is the 12th edition and i hope that they continue to make new editions as the law changes to offer the people the most accurate information about the legal situation for everyday folks to navigate their world by.the only thing in my opinion is if this was a website or live PDF that people could access to read that they would update periodically as things change in the legal world. as it stands in this book now written i foresee a time in the future were this will most likely become outdated. however as it is now, it is indeed a good resource.

More like a quick reference guide
I knew before ordering this book that I’ll be able to find whatever information in it online, but wanted it in hope that it would be formatted in legal language, which is not the case. It is more like magazines articles kind of format. The book is still helpful though if you are looking for a quick guide on the topics listed in the product description, but don’t expect a lot of details or a language that you can use when having a serious legal discussion.

Very useful book
This is a very useful book that explains a number of issues in a way that's easy to understand. It's really a book to sit on your shelf and you can read the relevant section(s). Although hopefully you don't need to refer to the book and you remain issue free. lol. The book will very briefly go into a definition of a subject and then FAQs for each topic.
