SNANSHI 3.7mm PIR Sensor SONY CCD Security Camera 700 TVL Hidden Covert CCTV Camera 18 Units IR LED

We have just set up a CCTV system as our daughter has moved in to her own place and we go on holidays, but doubtful I could set a system up as a DIYer, didn't want to spend too much. This review is about the Snanshi 3.7mm PIR sensor element of the CCTV system.I connected this small unit to a BNC power and video cable, which is not supplied.The item is very light, and except for the name emblazoned on it looks identical to any other PIR. In a darkened area the opaque 'screen' glows red, I guess this is the infrared night vision LEDs, they are not that bright that they stand out, but if you look intensely you can see the glow.The quality of the camera is very clear both in day and night use. I used a variety of light settings, on/ off, and throughout the camera responded immediately to the new settings.Fixing the unit was easy too, the cable out from the PIR have been totally hidden behind the unit, through the wall, which is another concern removed.The instructions were not that informative, but in honesty there is no real instructions needed, two cable connections and somewhere to locate it!I wanted a (possibly more) cameras indoors but I did not want a large, bulky, obvious dome..... this has fully exceeded my expectation.I will look and consider where to locate another another PIR type camera to complete my system.Advice: if you like me are an armature DIYer, don't rush this job, take time to think about where you will locate the PIR (and recorders if you are buying this too) as your initial ideas may prove a poor choice. This PIR will work, it will not be a problem, but where is the best place for it?Finally: just for information I purchased an Annke 4 channel system with 1 Tb hard disk drive. This too was simplicity it's self, but that is for another post.

Item arrived and does not work at all. All other CCTV products I have purchased work. This product from this seller does not work and I will be returning.

Works great

Items arrived within time specified. Checked out with anneke cctv system and found to be clear. Picture can flare a bit when facing a window but with a bit of tweaking you can get a happy medium. Going from day to night causes the picture to change from colour to black and white as expected. The only thing i feel could be better is the cables are a bit short. Other than than that an excellent buy and will hopefully last.

This is my second purchase of this product. First one over a year old ( purchased Jan 2017) and still working well. Good quality picture. Product was unavailable for a long time. Now that it’s available and still of good quality will be buying 3 or 4 more.
