Touchstone Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons

We have personally become big fans of Siegfried Engelmann because of this book. Based on Direct Instruction system: meaning teaching in very small incremental steps.If you are not able to teach your child how to read through this book, then there can be 99.9% two reasons only...1. Your child is too young, so you need to try after a couple of months, OR2. You are not following the book instructions properly, so read again the instruction part and focus on what are you missing out.

I love how simple and scripted this book is! With so many curriculums I was confused which one to pick. This has given a great start for my 5 year old and I’m on lesson 30 already.

Really good book, we're on the 35th lesson and the son can read all the previously learnt letters. He is actually showing interest in reading around trying to have the same positive encouragement.

The paper is so thin that too much of the other side of the page shows through.

This book is extremely helpful, it has clearly outlined instructions for whoever is helping the kids learn and kids alike. This book is still blowing my mind with how easy and efficient it is. And ask you need is 20-30 minutes a day.

Aunque es un poco monótono y en las primeras lecciones el niño se puede aburrir , con la constancia y dedicación mi hija no lleva ni la mitad de las lecciones y ya casi sabe leer, siendo que el inglés es su segundo idioma y no lo domina al 100%, en mi opinión es un método bastante bueno y eficaz. Si buscas que tú hijo lea en inglés y sepa cómo pronunciar las palabras de la manera correcta este es una buena opción.

Just buy this if your kids need help with reading or blending. It's not for quick results.First of all it's all up to you and your dedication to make this work.It has all the instructions provided on each line on how to talk to kids ,how to explain,in simple ways ,so easy for them them to grasp.I have tried many phonics classes and materials,but this beats it. For me and my kid this felt more natural way to read.Go slow, 1 lesson a day, don't skip any,repeat if needed, it will take time like 100+/- days, but it sticks with them.

Its logical, and each lesson is short. You can makelessons shorter by skipping the last couple of exercises too.It really works and quickly too. By lesson 20 you are seeing it click by lesson 40 they are reading (slowly sounding it out) and by lesson 80 its amazing how good they are.We are doing this book with a bright 2 year old, who asks for it every day. I don't think every kid will ask as it is a bit dull, but the progress is remarkable and it makes them feel so good about themselves.

Book looks boring but my kids enjoyed the stories and it builds in such a way they never got frustrated. Used the book to teach 2 of my kids and now started with my three year old.
