LMP-H202 LMP-H201 Replacement Projector Lamp Bulb for Sony VPL-HW30AES HW30ES HW50ES HW55ES VW95ES HW30 HW30ES SXRD HW40ES Projector

This was an incredibly easy direct swap into my Sony projector. Works just like the lamp that came in it when it was brand new. It actually took me longer to pull the projector down off the mount than it did to install the new lamp. Just make sure to slide it in correctly so that all the holes line up.Only lasted 1700 hours the became very dim. FYI if running hours makes a difference in your choice.

I kept it, but I ended up buying a real genuine replacement from somewhere else. The it’s definitely not as bright as the real deal.

My Sony SXRD would not project. It had 3 blinking lights which indicated (per Sony manual) a potential blub overheating. I did not get a lamp warning this time and this is my 3 replacement. I saw some reviews about this replacement not being as bright, but it was noticeably different then the aging bulb we had. Not sure how long this will last, but I was impressed with the price of the generic replacement. I probably bought the Sony version last time and was 2x's the price. Obviously, solved my problem with the replacement bulb.

Was expecting some sort of new lamp "pop" (visual!) after swapping it in, but saw zero difference between old and new, as compared by and and by photos taken in manual mode before and after the change. Color is slightly improved vs the old lamp, but no brighter at all.

First lamp lasted only two weeks and a couple of hours in, but they replaced it immediately with no charge, and paid for the return shipping . Great customer service! The new one is now in service for 13 month with 590 hours (in high lamp mode, which admittedly wears the lamp more, but what can I do? I like a bright image) and started to flicker. It is still usable in low lamp mode though.

The product fits perfectly in my Sony 55es, the color is good and it is bright, though less so than the factory Sony bulb. However, it intermittently cuts off. I assume it doesn’t cool well or has a design flaw, but it’s getting more often (approximately every 15min), so I purchased a factory bulb. I wouldn’t waste my time on this and unfortunately I cannot return it.

This is so far the best replacement lamp I have found on Amazon for my Sony hw40es. I was very surprised by the brightness of it, even in low lamp mode. Bought it for a low price as well. Lamp currently has over 1k hours but still very bright on low lamp mode. It rivals the original bulb that came from Sony as far as brightness. Others I bought here will flicker even in high lamp mode. This bulb did not give me any issues whatsoever. I will be buying this again when the time comes.

Works great so far in my Sony 4K projector. On the install it was a little hard to get one screw in, other than that it seems to work just as good as the original. Update to follow. Seems very bright and just as good as the original.

Of course, right now it's great! I'll let you all know in 3 months how it stands up with detailed info regarding usage and longevity. The last set I purchased, not from these vendors were terrible. One blew up during use and the other dimmed in half the time.Back soon!!!!!!!!

Quality and construction look fine. Bulb is a problem though. Noticeably dimmer than the genuine Sony part I replaced which already had 3000 hours on it. I have the 95es projector. Had to change mode from Cinema 1 to Standard to brighten it a bit which likely blows out the blacks. Good temporary use while border is closed. Will get original part when I can.
