Love this book which deals with a lot more topics than that specified in its title . Stories , maps , photos are all top notch . I learned so much from the book that I had not read in other similar subject books . If you are interested in topics such as Energy , Geopathic Stress , Dowsing , Graveyards , Labyrinth's , Old Church's , Standing Stones and lots lots more then this book is for you . Next up , cant wait to read the author's other book on Ley Lines and Energy . Love and gratitude to the author for his fine work excellently presented.

Interesting theories and insights from David Cowan who has dedicated around 40 years of research to Ley Lines and Energy centres. A form of technology or at the very least an art form which seems to have been lost over time , however which it seems may still be used today by select individuals who have an understanding of its applications.I believe our earth harbours many long forgotten or purposely suppressed secrets , which if discovered and used effectively , for good,could change our entire focus of how we live and what we perceive to be scientific fact.I believe D Cowan's book is one piece of research which requires further attention.

“Ley Lines of the UK and USA: How Ley Lines were used by the Church, Royalty, City Planners and the Freemasons” Paperback – June 12, 2014 by David Cowan (Author), Anne Silk is a phenomenal work on not only Ley lines but many other topics regarding this subject, such as earth energies, geology, astronomy and history as well as the ancient art of dowsing. Ergo it more than warrants 5-Stars.On page-149, of this work, the authors give the “Normal Mean Earth is 70 milligauss (47 microTesla” as well as other interesting scientific information. On pages-150 to 15, the also give “Natural Earth Waves as Body Waves- Types And Frequencies” in Hz. Finally, in Chapter Seventeen starting on page-127 they describe “How to Use Divining Rods to Find Earth Energies” and explain that the US Military utilized divining rods in the Vietnam War to locate enemy tunnels, and this was verified via numerous web-articles. One actually purchased Amazon.com’s “FM&OT Dowsing Rod Copper -Solid Material 99% - Ghost Hunting, Divining Water, Gold, Buried Items, etc. Instructions and Video Sources Included - 5x13 Inch – Non-toxic” and supposedly right out of the box in the Fairhope-Daphne-Foley, Alabama area they began detecting supposed “anomalies”??? This should not be surprising given the number of Masonic Lodges in the region, as well as stone artwork, standing stones- replicating those of UK-Ireland-perhaps in farmers’ fields such as at lat/long 30.29.20.25 N 97.45.36.74 W and 101-feet elevation- perhaps, per Google Earth, and various other locations in Baldwin County, Alabama area, such as the Public Pier area in the Single Tax Colony of Fairhope, AL. Oddly, Reiki-Yoga- Exercise etc.. is supposedly practiced at this location as well as weddings and other practices requiring “positive” telluric energy fields…..???Interesting, per Wikipedia and other internet sources “dowsing” is actually a serious study in places like Germany and Russia, for example, with professional scientists and engineers taking part, and believe requires license in Russia?One should consider, if interested in say, pursuing this line of research in the United States, particularly the South Eastern US States of Alabama, Florida, Mississippi and Louisiana- which have some of the oldest cities and ancient sacred sites US per books at Amazon.com such as “Sacred sites: A guidebook to sacred centers & mysterious places in the United States" Paperback – 1992 by Frank Joseph as well as others. This is bizarre, as the Headquarters the Gulf Coast VA, in Biloxi MS, a sub-component of VISN 16, is also supposedly built over sub-terranean anomalies as well, IAW some who have work on construction there…?????In the end this is a very good work on subject of Ley lines and all that goes along with trying to understand them as well as their “specific” purpose? It is more than comprehensive enough to get any beginner in this filed started as well, as anyone highly “skeptic” to in fact at least think about the possibilities? After, did not renowned scientist and engineer Nikola Tesla himself postulate “earth energy” fields that could be harnessed into pretty much free and usable electricity?

I follow Cowan's work, and have learned so much from him. This is definitely a great addition to the earth-energies subject for those who are involved in these studies. David Cowan is a trailblazer (literally) and a valuable educator.

Very good book. I am still chugging through it. Some of it suffers from a lack of illustrations that the idea would better be understood with a diagram that isn't there. Not being from the UK, I have to look up all the references about Scotland because I've never been there and have been enjoying some of the UK dowsing sites in the process which are a lot more informative and less venal than the American ones. Very interesting discussion about Washington DC and L'Enfant's design of the nation's capitol. I wonder if Cowan is a freemason. I was wrong to so quickly judge this book because it is a wealth of information. Sometimes I don't follow the connection between how he comes to his conclusions about frequency but I think anyone from the UK or US would enjoy reading this book. It is very interesting to see how dowsing is used professionally.
