3.5" USB 2.0 External Enclosure - Blue

Just Purchased this component. Unfortunately threw away the packaging while putting it together so unable to return.1.Putting the piece together is awkward and more like a puzzle a) Try to squeeze and position the disc in between the frame so the end connectors fit without damaging disc or board. b) Screw in the Disc to frame with two screws provided. c) Place one side panel after peeling off paper on tape to find that the panel doesn't sit proper. Wonder what will happen when the glue wears out. d) Place next side panel ('back') and screw in. One must be real good to position the four screws proper to tighten.1. After all the work, Computer simply doesn't recognize the component. All I had in was a brand new WD drive that I had as spare. I used another of my old enclosure and computer recognized the drive instantly and installed/updated driver easily.So what can I say. This product doesn't work with probably the wrong 'selling' description given. what a waste of money and time .

Works as advertised, installation was straight forward (although I had to look at the manual while doing it). One curious thing is that the unit that shipped to me looks exactly like the photo above but has IOMEGA eGO logo/branding printed on it.On the plus side, I like how the power supply is a simple lightweight wire and jack as opposed to the typical fat cables with proprietary plugs that you may know from other enclosures.

Great Product. I took 1 star off simply because it was a pain to get the HDD installed and enclosed. Would've been a LOT easier if there were clips or something snap-in.But the ease of use, storage, stand even the look of the case is great. With the power indicator/working light, you never have a doubt if there's power; it's BRIGHT! ;-)

The case is not designed to be taken apart after one drive has been installed. Not a problem if you buy a hard drive that will never fail, but one of the reasons I like external enclosures is that you can re-use the case if and when the drive fails.The size is nice, and it looks nice. The extra space on the inside makes up for the lack of ventilation.

My daughter dropped my iOmega 1TB drive that has EVERYTHING on it. It broke the internal solder connections for the firewire port. After doing a little research it appeared that this type of enclosure was just what I needed to salvage the hard drive. The drive plugged in perfectly to the new enclosure and I was able to get access to my data again. This drive is nothing fancy, but it worked great for what I needed it for.

A very well made product, easy to install HDD and assemble. If you can use a small screw driver you won't have any trouble putting this together. Comes with all cables, power supply, mounting screws and rubber pads for feet if you don't want to use the cradle that lets it sit vertically. Works exactly like it should.

This case is doomed to fall apart, the sides are held in place with only 4 plastic clips, no screws. Instructions were non existent.

Arived faster than expected which is always nice. Easy to put together and works as intended. On/off switch is a plus. Great way to get an external hard drive at a cost lower than one that includes the hard drive. Great product from a speedy seller.
