I bought this less for the heat resistance and more for the comfort of a no-slip grip on my new 3 quart saucepan. I loved the weight of the pan, but the metal handle felt awkward and slippery to me and was not as heat proof as I was led to believe. Now I have both - heat resistance and a tight fitting silicone grip! It was easy to put on, too! Very happy with my choice!

I bought two fir two very different uses. I have a carbon steel wok with a metal handle. I have a thick silicone handle cover, but it still gets too hot to comfortably hold. This thing was wide enough that I could put it on top of the existing cover for double protection.Also, I have the Amazon brand 14” saute pan. Its really big and heavy, but has a straight round chrome-like handle. It really hard to hold onto it when its full without it twisting in my hand. I wrapped it in hockey tape, which actually worked, but it got kind of stucky and gross after a while. This thing went on in abou 7 seconds, and works great - plenty of traction.

I misunderstood the way this handle cover works. I assumed you slid it off and on different skillets as needed. It is not that! Once it's on, it's on for good because it's very tight and I don't think you could get it on anything else without the loading device. It has a clever device for putting it on a single skillet, and that's where it stays. I bought it for the occasions where I put a skillet in the oven to finish off a piece of meat or fish after braising it on the stovetop. I've burned myself more than once by forgetting the handle is now going to be very hot when I take it out of the oven. (No right as I take it out of the oven, because then it is top-of-mind to use a potholder. It is a problem once it is back on the stove where you have used it dozens of times without a silicone protector. You just grab it like you've always done and you are quickly reminded that this is a different situation!)Anyway, it will work well for me for that skillet, but you would need multiple ones to use it on multiple devices. Given that fact, it would be very expensive to use it for all those items they list in the description!

This thing dosent work i still have to use the kitchen towels to grap the pot. Still very hot. Worried about it catching fire since its some kind of sponge

When I purchased this, I was reluctant as to how it would work. It’s perfect! So simple to put on the handle and presto you have a coated handle. I haven’t used this over high heat yet, but the product is as it represents. It should work on just about any handle as it molds to the handle. It doesn’t move around on the handle either. Once it’s on. It stays in place. Definitely recommend those needing a grip on their handles at the very least.
