Hapi Hot Wasabi Peas, 4.9-Ounce Tins (Pack of 8)

These are hard to describe for those who have never had them, but I'll give it a try...If you've had wasabi before, then this is simply dried wasabi baked onto a dehydrated sweet pea. You don't really taste the pea. It almost tastes like a hollow roasted soybean with wasabi.If you've never had wasabi before, it is a very spicy flavor that comes from a type of horseradish. It is a green sort of powdery paste, which has been baked onto the dehydrated peas.These are not super spicy, but the spice does gradually build while you eat them. On a spice scale of 1 to 5, I would rate these a 2 at the start and after eating a handful, the spiciness goes up to about a 3 or 3.5-ish.

big fan of the hapi wasabi peas, had a pack of 8 and finished within less than 2 weeks. You could feel the wasabi, however, not too strong, not strong enought to get your tears out: ) the price Amazon offer with delivery (free when i ordered) is better than having them from the Chinese or Japanese supermarkets, save the journey going to the shops. thanks Amazon!
