Book Club Pick
Which did you find more appealing, the introduction or the conclusion? The conclusion. The introduction was a little slow moving but the ending, wow. It was surprising, eventful and made everything about this book worthwhile. Why would you recommend or not recommend this book? If you like books by James Frey or Olivia Goldsmith, you will definitely enjoy this book by Brad Cotton. The story is focused on human interactions and some parts were absolutely touching.Did the book description relate to the story? It did but I think readers would also be interested in a brief introduction of each main character with a hint at how they eventually become connected or how serious their relationship becomes.Disclosure - As a Quality Reads Book Club member, I received a free copy of this book from the author via Orangeberry Book Tours in exchange for my honest review.

Terrific, Compelling, Thoughful Novel
This is a strong follow up to Brad Cotton's first book, and it is a terrific read. The story of Ray/Duncan's journey across the country, their encounters en route, and what they find and develop at their destination is thought-provoking and gripping. I strongly recommend it.

Good Road Trip Novel!
I enjoyed reading about the cross-country travels of Ray (the philosopher, good with women), Duncan (practical, with a head for business), and Ruby (who seemed a little too trusting and accommodating, at first, but was more fully developed as a character as the book went on). I like the author’s sense of humor, but he also takes his characters seriously. As they come into their thirties, Ray and Duncan are making momentous decisions, after pretty much drifting through life so far. On the road, as well as discussing mundane topics such as where to stop for the night and what they should spend some of the cash they’re carrying around on, the three converse about topics such as God, the afterlife, and the meaning of life.

i am not sure why this book has any good reviews. the writing style is amateurish
i am not sure why this book has any good reviews. the writing style is amateurish, like a high school student writing a story and not knowing how to make dialogue come across as natural. the plot line did start out as promising but soon enough became trite and predictable, and at the same time unrealistic. it was painful to read and i was not able to get through the whole thing.

Great book!
I have read two of Brad Cotten's books and both were very good. Mr. Cotten is an excellent writer. The two books are totally different but both interesting and unique. If you haven't read any of his books you are definitely missing out on some goods reads!

A Girlie Book
This is a Girlie book. It has a fairly good adventurous travel plot but it's smothered with girlie romances.

Solid - I didn't want it to end!
Great read, I didn't want to put it down. Ever. I liked the intimacy the author created with the characters. It also touched my appreciation for being on the road. I really look forward to whatever comes next!
