Mid Century Modern At Home

I am really enjoying this book. It is small enough that I can even read it in bed. Love this series of books. I have the Scandinavian one as well. The seller sent the book in like new condition. I am very pleased with this purchase. Thank you!

Nice mid century modern photos and information. Would have given the book 5 stars if the dimensions of the book were larger - a larger book would make it easier to read and view the photos.

Not a fan — definitely not a book reflecting what I think pop culture calls “modern mid century.” Will not find styles similar to what you would find on Pinterest searching the phrase.This book is much more about vintage pieces of furniture literally designed in the 30’s through 60’s, rather than modern pieces inspired by the character of that era which I think is what the typical millennial calls “mid century modern.”Probably 50% of the book is just “biographies” of furniture, rather than inspo photos of homes.

I enjoyed this book, it is very practical : first it explains how to achieve the look in general and then how to do it room by room, providing also case studies and analyzing iconic furniture of the period.I found only two cons: first , I would have found useful to see also an entire mid century modern apartment (to have an idea about how to achieve the look in a cohesive way) , but the different rooms shown in the book belong to different homes. Secondly, I found puzzling certain choices of the author and I had the feeling he focused too much on certain items ( for instance , an entire page dedicated to Curtis Jeré Raindrops drops mirror? In such a short book and with plenty of much more interesting items to choose among? ). However, in general the book is interesting and useful and I am happy with the purchasing. It also arrived on time and perfect conditions.
