Great quality, definitely recommend
The only downside to using this syrup is that it will change the color of the cocktail to be a duller brown. If aesthetics is what matters to you in a cocktail, maybe try a simple syrup that is clear colored. the flavor and quality of this syrup is unmatched, i highly recommend!

Good alternative to pricier options
Uve been a long time buyer of BGRenold's Demerara syrup - yea I've made my own too but simple sugar syrup doesn't gain anything w the extra labor - but decided to give this a test drive & save some $, for making tiki drinks and the odd Demerara Old Fashioned: after the 1st bottle I can say I'm happy with the choice. Tastes fine, seems to be of similar sweetness (doesn't unbalance same recipies). I'll be continuing to use this moving forward.

Best Demamara Syrup. Pure!
Hands down the best and most pure Demamara Syrup available. Just the dark sugar and water. Nothing else. Top notch!

Quick and easy for a decent Old Fashioned
This is for when I'm in too big of a hurry to do it right. Quick pour, add your spirit and stir! Pretty good Old Fashioned.

Thick, rich Demerara simple syrup.
Thick, rich Demerara simple syrup. Gives a little fuller flavor to cocktails. Also good in iced tea instead of granular sugar. It’s not too difficult to make if you’d rather go that route, but I’ve gotten a couple batches of this and it is great quality.

Great with Woodford Reserve for old fashioneds
Makes a great old fashioned using both the bitters and boubon from Woodford Reserve. Don't forget the orange peel. I use a little more syrup than the label suggests. I use 2 ice cubes, 3/4 oz syrup, 3 drops of bitters, 3 ounces of woodford bourbon, an orange peel slice, and a luxardo cherry. The downside and why I took a couple of stars off is that after a few uses, you get sticky syrup built up around the neck and the cap gets extremely difficult to remove (even after wiping down the neck with a paper towel after each use.) I actually strained my finger trying to get the cap off. needs a cap with a better grip for when this starts to happen.
